Nope telling the truth is quite simply just telling the truth. Policy is basic principles upon which governing is based.

 

And I said his policies were average at best. Which is different from telling the truth, glad we agree.

 

As far as policies, Trump has been great. He reversed the policies that Obama enacted and the economy has taken off like a rocket. He fixed the VA that Obama said he would do and couldn't. He fixed the military that Obama let go to hell. Blacks and Hispanics has the lowest unemployment in recorded history. We have more good jobs than people to fill them. He has started a 100 billion dollar program that will clean up depressed Black neighborhoods and help bring in business and jobs. Start a prison reform to give convicts a new chance in life. Etc. Etc.

More could be done if people make wiser decisions and replace the Pelosi's and Schumer's with competent politicians. They get their next chance in 2020.

 

I am amazed at what Trump has done considering the Democrats gave him nothing and even a bunch in his own Party fought against him. The bias news won't tell you and I know Liberals who constantly watch CNN and MSNBC hasn't got a clue. I asked one poster, I think on this thread to name me two or three things he has done to help the country in just the last few months, after he said Trump had did nothing. He couldn't come up with one.

 

The big problem is that Trump has a hard time getting his message out. The other news won't tell you and the Republicans do a lousy job of doing it. People would be shocked to learn all he has done.

 

The reality is that the broad range of philosophical perspectives readily available across the gamut of America's free press exhibits a far greater respect for reality than does Trump.

Paranoid hyper-partisans who whine that "the media" is being mean to their messiah can cite specific instances of unjustifiably harsh criticism, no doubt, but there is no vast, coordinated conspiracy that in unison proclaims, "Lyin' Don is the enemy of the people!"

To add to the previously quoted words of Harry Truman, "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen," let's add a paraphrase: "We don't give him Hell. We just tell the truth about him, and he thinks it's Hell."

If Trump did not shamelessly contradict the truth so often, it would not become the duty of America's news sources to continually point it out.

E.g.,

He proclaims in a televised photo-op that he sets up, “I am proud to shut down the government for border security! I will take the mantle! I will be the one to shut it down! I’m not going to blame you for it!”

A week later, as his already dismal approval numbers were plummeting even further, he tweeted, "The Democrats now own the shutdown!"

Americans, supplied with such accurate information, formed their own conclusions.

I think there is a conspiracy out to get him. They broadcast things they know isn't true. They doctor videos to make things look different than they really are. They go for any thing to cut Trump down, not even trying to find out if it's true or not. They started the investigation against Trump knowing that stuff in that dossier was wrong and others couldn't be verified. They held information back from the judge that would have prevented the investigation of ever being taken place. They dropped charges against Hillary on her E-mails and servers, knowing if they proceeded, she wouldn't even been able to run. They almost never tell any of the good things he has done, you proved that, you couldn't come up with one. Damn right there is a big effort not to let him succeed in anything. Don't tell one good thing he has done and trash him every chance you get. No President has ever been treated like Trump has.
