A significant number of Republican elected officials critical of Trump were re-elected in 2020 without much difficulty.

But where you and I agree - but for completely different reasons - is on the pressing need to get rid of Mitch.

To me, he is by far the toughest and smartest opponent among the Republicans.

An extremely clever strategist.

If Trump were to get his head, his replacement would inevitably be a lackey who believes in the Big Lie and all the conspiracies of the right.

This would further weaken the GOP and that would make me happy.

Actually I got out a little bit in front of my skis on the last part of that post. I'm still friends with most of my Trump supporting friends, and even with just plain acquaintances and so forth.
