Trump looks unwell and older after Covid-19

Darn, this man looks so old and sick, now!



I think the president is still struggling with both the lingering effects of Covid-19 (he did admit today that there was a lung infiltrate in his CT scan so he may come out of it with some pulmonary fibrosis and shortness of breath), and side effects of his steroid course. He really looks much worse than during the debate.

I want him gone from the White House (mainly because of how he undermined the response to this pandemic at various points) but just as a human being I wish him a full recovery and experience some pity.

The stress of the office ages presidents... Trump is now suddenly looking much worse than earlier in his term.

Often people recover from even mild cases of Covid-19 with heart issues such as chronic inflammatory myocarditis, brain issues with a "foggy" state and cognitive decline, pulmonary issues (fibrosis), chronic fatigue syndrome, and kidney issues (renal insufficiency). These complications are more likely in people with underlying conditions, and older (except that the cardiac issue seems to be unrelated to how severe Covid-19 was, how old the patient is, and whether or not the person has underlying condition, happening across the board).

The president was promptly helped with advanced treatments but he looks unwell. I wonder what kind of permanent consequences he will suffer.

He is far from looking "20 years younger" like he said. That was the euphoria from the steroid talking.

 

If nothing happens to the president Saturday or Sunday, by Monday he will have completed 10 days after the first symptoms, which is generally considered to be the moment when someone is out of the woods if there is no turn for the worse. Then we'll be sure that he will survive (by now I think this is overwhelming likely with just a tiny chance of a day 9 or day 10 sudden worsening), but one wonders about what the sequelae will be.

I knew he was sicker than he is admitting because he wants one of the Fox Doctors to to do a remote medical examination
