Why? Can't they read a statute correctly either? Or is Bonespurs illegally ****ing with the request behind the scenes?

    This made absolutely no sense.

So, why is Treasury checking with the DOJ where their obligation to furnish Congress with the requested returns unambiguous?

I've provided the reasoning, but I can't provide you with the ability to understand it. Thankfully the inevitable courts rejection won't require you understand any of it. #notmyruleoflaw?

It's difficult to understand some utterly fabricated poppycock when I already have a very clear understanding of what the law requires.

You wanted Clinton but you got Trump. You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need. Such as the exoneration of a good President, or life itself.

Red states could require the candidate to be a gun owner and NRA member to get on the ballot.

Or require prior military service to get on the ballot ....

    Err, huh?

This isn't about her. It's about transparency and the "presuhdint's" lack of it in spite of his promises to release his returns.

The way one dodged the draft was to do it the way Clinton dodged it. He fled to England. Many dodgers fled to Canada.

But to say Trump dodged the draft is not to smear him, but the draft board having jurisdiction over the young man.

Democrats would rather be flayed alive than admit Bill Clinton was a true draft dodger.

I should be far more interested in his tax returns than you can be for the simple reason I voted for the man.

You should be concerned with the tax returns of the party you voted for or will next time.

There is a rule stipulating Congress is not to seek tax returns for political purposes. Which of course this Democrat in the House seeks them for political purposes.

Wrong. If there's a case that Clinton dodged the draft under false pretense as did Trump, fine. We're not above acknowledging that as true and it's funny that you accuse ALL Dems of a particular behavior which is a smear in itself by you.

Also, even if Trump AND Clinton dodged the draft, the difference in my eyes is that Trump dodged the draft and then wiped himself with tremendous sacrifices made by those who served. This is one of many places where your Champion is a truly repugnant piece of garbage.

Some of us that voted for him actually studied his FCC financial returns.

But why on earth would a Democrat want to see his tax returns given they hate him and never voted for him? Can they double vote no?

Dems want his tax returns because Trump hates them because they won't vote for him.

Dems won't vote for him because they believe Trump is financially dishonest and breaks the laws of the land financially.

I left the number up to the readers. You see it as all Democrats. I see it as Democrats who hate Trump.

Trump could not dodge the draft with pretenses. His was both educational deferments along with his medical deferment. But only a physician can certify to his physical ailments. The claim a private doctor did it is false. Draft board have no problem having doctors on staff to do the examinations.

I know for a fact since that happened to me. I got the physical at the Oakland,. CA induction center.

Most talking of this topic never were subject to the draft and are wearing political hats to talk for them.

Clinton was very different. Clinton fled to England. He admitted he dodged the draft in his letter to Col. Holmes.

The man's University and Charity were proven to be fraudulent. Now he's running the country and a business at the same time. I think it's obvious why a large portion of the country would want to know that there aren't conflicts of interest in how he governs.

Democrats are fond of making claims that make no sense. I ask one more time, why would any loyal Democrat want Trump's tax returns. The comments thus far make no sense.

I've asked for over two years as to what they expect to find in his tax returns that is not already disclosed in his FEC and Presidential disclosure forms and what they always post fails.

How much is he REALLY worth? Not in his tax return but more info on his financial disclosure forms.
How does he owe money? Not in his tax return but on his financial disclosure forms.
Who is he involved in business with? Not in his tax return but on his financial disclosure forms.

Tax returns don't have a lot of information in them as far as what they are looking for to try and smear him.

Sekulow is right, and yes, the Dems will lose this in court.

What "legislative purpose" does Congress have for needing to see Trump's returns??

Beyond that, Congress has no investigative or law enforcement authority in such matters either.

    ----------------------------------

Even in the case of Barack Obama and Martin Nesbitt clearly committing crimes with respect to the "smash and grab" they pulled off with the University of Phoenix, Congress has no authority originating from the crime itself.

There may be other crimes, and I'm sure there are, that might justify an investigation; but, for the criminal act itself?? No, Congress doesn't have the authority.

My understanding was that it was a personal physician whose examination and write up were the basis of Trumps medical deferment?

And if Bill dodged the draft then OK. He's done a lot worse than that, so has Trump. Trump wiping his ass with the Kahn family and with McCain after having avoided service himself is Such a piece of garbage move though.

I don't see why public interest in an elected official's background should be limited to party affiliation.
