There's no flip flop.....just ridicule of another of Trump's rambling, incoherent views on the subject.

Who said anything about purifying rain water? I was being entirely facetious. Just pointing out how ridiculous Trump can be.

Did you know that in 2017, when Trump was shown that Seoul, South Korea, a city of more than 25 million people, was only 40 miles or so from the NK border, he ordered the DOD, DOS, and the Pentagon to "Make them move!"? He was serious, stated it on multiple occasions. He actually expected that a huge city with 25 million people could simply be relocated.

    That's your guy, Robert.

It would, if the GOP hadn't already sold their souls to Trump and made the conscious decision to live in his fact-free realm.

What does Trump's rambling speech about multiple flushes and slowly dripping showers have to do with the environment?

If what Trump was trying to say was that the EPA should not mandate low pressure showers and toilets, I suggest that in addition to being nearly incoherent, it is Trump who doesn't care about environmental issues like saving water in high drought regions.

The bison herds at their peak couldn't hold a tiny birthday cake candle to the enormous herds that now exist just to serve our desire for steaks and burgers and such. The effing Amazon rain forest is being chopped, burned, and cleared because we eat so much beef.

Don't get me wrong, I like a nice juicy steak as much as the next person, but I don't eat beef every freaking day. More like twice a month. But I'm not the norm in America. Most Americans eat beef at least three time a week, some every day.

If just the U.S. could manage to wean itself off of the stuff, the world would have less need to destroy oxygen-generating vegetation in order to create more grazing land.

My interpretation is that he's referring to landlords not fixing leaky roofs. The simple solution would be to put buckets down to catch the leaking rain water and use that to flush and bathe. It's a win-win situation. Sounds like a great idea and an example of going orange instead of green. :)

The great migration used to take days to pass a point. Go ahead and eat your steak, it's no threat to the little Pixie's future.

As I've said, YOU CANNOT WIN WITH THESE PEOPLE

First he doesn't care about the environment and now that he does you guys are the first to rip on it

    Sad, very sad.

Maybe over flushing doesn't sound like a big deal but it makes a difference just like paper straws do.

    Sad, very sad

    I pray for you.

Yeah, I find it amazing that we are told we need to shut down airlines and get rid of cars and capture cow farts to save the environment, and you whine about a comment on a method to save water that costs nothing and harms nothing. Amazing.

Low flow devices were mandated for environmental concerns. However, as Trump explains, this only results in multiple flushes in the and potentially using more water.

If they don't actually save water, is it actually environmentally beneficial?

It was really quite simple to understand what he was saying and the point he was making.

Just last month a half dozen bison were browsing an evergreen tree and other plants just 15 feet from me as I was making camp in Caprock Canyons. An 1800 pound bison browses down a lot of vegetation to stay alive. They are members of the Texas herd managed by the Dept. of Wildlife and Parks. They have the run of the park, the run of your campsite, and the right of way on all the roads, trails and pathes. Six seemed like a lot of bison that close up. The herd is presently about 204 head. They are barb-wired off from the surrounding private land and I was surprised to see that just fence and cattle grids could hold them inside the 15,000 acre park. I kind of regret now, just a little bit, eating buffalo burgers in South Dakota, but I'm a natural born predator and love eating meat.

The bison on the Great Plains before there were white men hunting them, and private land became fenced-in, are estimated to have been 30 to 60 million. There are less than 200,000 bison being ranched for meat today. For the Plains Indians bison were their food, shelter, and clothing. It took an average 20 bison hides for the squaws to make a Comanche teepee. The Comanche loved their bison-based life, and considered it an act of war for anyone else to hunt bison or use land for agriculture. They had complete control of most of Texas for more than 250 years, from the day they mastered horses until the white man conquered them. They were the best horsemen and mounted warriors on the continent. Glad I didn't run into Blue Duck. I learned a lot more about the Comanches in a lecture down at Copper Breaks by a part-Comanche who told the story from the tribal point of view, and from Chief Quanah Parker's point of view.

I was off PF and out of communication, 11-09 to 11-30, for three weeks in Texas. You can't get a signal in Big Bend and it's kinda rare to get a signal in West Texas except Odessa, Midland, Abilene, and Amarillo. When you cross the Sabine the sign says Welcome to Texas, 826 miles to El Paso. What a wonderful trip in a great, great big state. I loved Texas before and love it even more now.

I hate the low flow toilets, we have them at work and the suck (no pun intended) But I did find one for the house that advertised that you could flush a dozen golf balls down it, and although I haven't tested it with golf balls, that dam toilet flushes angry, I also set the fill level to its highest point so i'm flushing more water than it was originally set to flush, its nice!

When I buy new shower heads the first thing I do is take out the water saver and drill larger holes in the little plastic restriction piece so that I can have good pressure.

I assume I'm not the only one that does that.

side rant: I recycle 85% of what I should, but my pop's is what i'd consider an "extreme recycler" He'll soak an empty jar of peanut butter overnight, shake it, rinse it several times, etc, I swear he wastes at least a half gallon of water to clean that empty jar, seems redundant to me, is it better to 1)use a half gallon of water and toss in the recycle bin,2) toss the jar with the PB leftovers in the trash, or 3)toss the jar with the leftovers in the recycle bin?

Right now I do #2. No idea if its correct, but i'm too lazy to do #1 even if #1 could be argued is the best approach.

If what you call his incoherence bothers you, I advise you to avoid watching the left-wing media or the dems in congress, because you will need psychiatric support to cope with the incoherence you see there.
Nobody's perfect; Trump has flaws. However, he is still way ahead of politicians who criticize him.

When replacing commodes you can go to a plumbing supply house, not a big box, and ask for a residential American Standard that the biggest of persons cannot clog. They know what models work, and it won't cost that much more.

Did you watch the video? Seriously, there was nothing in there about saving water. He was incoherent. Since then, I read an article explaining what the eff he was babbling about. It seems he wants to roll back yet another existing EPA rule, the one that mandates low flow and low pressure toilets and shower/faucet valves for drought prone regions.

So your post is completly backwards. Trump not only doesn't want us to save water, he wants us to use more, even in those very dry areas.

It was estimated at a high end a 100 million buffalo was in the wild in the 1800s

Which is around the same number of cattle today
