I think the highest hill they will have to climb is the intent factor. This all may be part of the Democrats effort to rescue the midterm elections. Keep the focus on Trump instead of their failures on issues that really matter to average Joes.

The one initially given was just that - a general warrant authorizing the search. The basis behind it were sealed. The other issue that can/will be challenged (I imagine) was preventing the presence of someone on Trump's team to observe the search. As long as they didn't interfere with it I see no justification to bar them.

You're taking your eyes off the subject. Did you forget that among the property seized was Attorney/Client privileged documents?

Yeah and as Tolkien once wrote, "so would a cornered wolf say, if it could talk".

Yet Trump is still making waves and stirring the pot.

Trump can't declassify completely on his own, period. He needs to submit requests to the agencies that are the custodians to the material. It would leave a paper trail, Leon Panetta.

whining about it like a 5-year-old is not going to help Trump. Making threats to law enforcement for doing their job makes you look like BLM supporters. Trump got his hand caught in the cookie jar. He could have easily avoided all of this by simply following the rules and the conservative argument for law and order.

The reality is, the more you and Trump supporters continue to go this route, the 2024 election will not be yours if Trump is your nominee. The independents will not vote for you because of all of this and that is a fact. It may even put the 2022 midterms in jeopardy of retaking the house, especially if Trump's advocates in certain house districts try to go with this argument. It is why certain Republican governors and most Republican representatives in the House are either silent on this whole issue or saying "stop this nonsense" such as the Governor of Arkansas,

As for property taxes, that is an exclusive state issue, not federal. So why are you blaming the federal government for a state issue? Second, buying a home is based on a variety of factors ranging from your credit score, which will predict what your interest rate is, the term of the loan for the mortgage, your down payment amount, and whether escrow is required or not based on the down payment amount, and, location, location, location. But its obvious you never bought a house. If you did, the bank will ask for at least last two recent years of your tax return, usually, IRS transcripts, and copies of your paystub, and any other income documents. The application will either be a preapproved amount or the address of the specific home you will be buying. Since 2008, there is no longer A and B paper to show what your income is or may be. It is just A paper. The bank will take all the available information and perform a risk analysis on the loan, and that will determine if you are approved or not. The only way the Federal government gets involved is the Fair Housing Act which tells banks and mortgage companies to treat each potential homebuyer the same or use the same standards. And that act has been around since the early 1970s.

But then again, pretend that you know what you are talking about or is taking responsibility for your own actions too much to ask?

If your child gets arrested for homicide, law enforcement gets to arrest you too because it happened in "your regime?"

What does it mean? Maybe you should ask old White Joe what he meant.

"I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify; who doesn't see red states and blue states, only sees the United States." -- Joe Biden

"It's time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again, listen to each other again," Mr Biden said, without mentioning his rival in the election. "And to make progress, we have to stop treating our opponents as enemies." -- Joe Biden

The sad thing is that the same people will start the same cries about a stolen election again in 2024 -- unless they win. it is really unbelievable what kind of damage Trump and Trumpism have done to the US and its credibility.

I've listened to a piece on NPR this morning about the elections in Kenya, and how the loser claims the winner is illegitimate. The way we look at Kenya and their distrust in their electoral system (i.e. not a first world country), other first-world countries are looking at the US, in disbelief as to how ONE man can almost bring the system to its knees. Maybe he will still succeed, if he gets another chance in 2024. How so many people can still enthusiastically vote for him is a mystery to me. It must be all this propaganda and lies they immerse themselves in 24/7 in RW media. It's like getting to the point where you cannot trust ANY information anymore.

And I am not saying the Dem side is much better, but at least they are not openly trying to rip the country apart for personal gain.

Did Trump promise to unify the country? Or was that Joe Biden that said the following?

"I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify; who doesn't see red states and blue states, only sees the United States."

"It's time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again, listen to each other again," Mr Biden said, without mentioning his rival in the election. "And to make progress, we have to stop treating our opponents as enemies."

What part of this is he not living up to, exactly? I don't see a promise there to unify the country, but rather to seek to do so.

For 2024, the Democratic party should make social issues a tabletop issue for most independents ranging from abortion to civil rights for LGBTQ people. To do this, they must adopt a policy that the people will decide their civil rights and not politicians in each of the states, especially the Red Southern States. Second, the Democratic Party needs to talk about economics and job opportunities. They did this with the bipartisan infrastructure bill and to some degree with the Deficit Reduction Act bill. By talking jobs, trade, and improving opportunities for all businesses, including business opportunities for green energy, will help. Finally, they also need to address spending on the discretionary side and make the government more efficient by embracing technologies that will help the government agencies to their mission statements better. This will lower costs in the long run. For that, they can win 2024 easily against the GOP.

The election in Kenya took a week to determine who the winner was, all by paper ballots. Now imagine if that happened here with the "GOP integrity argument" to get rid of all electronic voting machines. This is what the GOP wants, to stir chaos and to always, always, claim election fraud if they lose by paper ballot.

Internationally, most people are either laughing at us, bewildered by us, or turning away from us by our internal politics. In some countries, they call our politics crazier than Venezuela, and that is Western Europe, like Germany, the UK, and France. The problem is seen is that the GOP is so desperate to hold onto power that they are willing to allow an authoritarian to rule their party and the country, while with a straight face, calling it democracy. The GOP really should just dump Trump and modern conservatives and get back to Traditional Republicanism, which is free trade, small government, and civil rights for all.

The only difference between the two parties, in 2024, will be their solutions to the big problems. And those solutions will differ slightly and with emphasis to different talking points, the way it was in the good ole days. This will also get rid, at least most, of the provocateurs on radio and TV because they will no longer have anything flamboyant to say. The people will stop listening to them.

Then your post begs the question, what has he done in almost two years or over his entire career to accomplish this mission statement?

There is very little reason why anyone would listen to people who describe the politician they support in such terms. There is no common ground based on your expressed feelings. That leaves nothing but an all or nothing approach.

So I am supposed to explain Biden's remarks to you? OK, I will do so. Biden remarks were a lie and he did not do sh*t to unify the country. Just devided it further with rhetoric such as the examples I provided. So is that a coherent answer? Or perhaps anything posted regarding the negative performance of Biden you conviently find incoherent.

OK. Here is an opportunity for you to provide a coherent reply on the subject What did Biden do to unify the country? In your opinion. Go.
