    That's easy:

Acosta: Thank you Mr. President. I want to challenge you on, on one of the statements that you made in the tail end of the campaign, uh, in the midterms

President Trump: Here we go …

Acosta: Well, if you don’t mind …

President Trump: That’s all right, come on ...

Acosta: Mr. President, that this caravan was an invasion. As you know…

President Trump: I consider it to be an invasion.

Acosta: … as you know, Mr. President, caravan was not an invasion, it’s a, it’s a, a group of migrants moving up from Central America towards the border with the U.S. …

President Trump: Thank you for telling me that, I appreciate it.

Acosta: … and, and why did you characterize it as such? Uh, and …

President Trump: Because I consider it an invasion. You and I have a difference of opinion.

Acosta: But do you think that you demonized immigrants …

    President Trump: Not at all.

Acosta: … in this election to keep …

President Trump: No, not at all. I want them, I want them to come into the country but they have to come in legally. You know, they have to come in, Jim, through a process. I want it to be a process. And I want people to come in. And we need the people …

Acosta: Right. But your campaign …

    President Trump: Wait …

    Acosta: Your campaign …

President Trump: … wait, you know why we need the people, don’t you?

    Acosta: Yeah.

President Trump: Because we have hundreds of companies moving in. We need the people.

Acosta: Right. Your campaign had an ad showing migrants climbing over walls …

    President Trump: Well, that’s true.

Acosta: … and so on and it por— but it …

    President Trump: They weren’t actors.

Acosta: They’re not gonna be doing that.

President Trump: They weren’t actors; well, no, it’s true. Do you think they were actors? They weren’t actors. They didn’t come from Hollywood.

    Acosta: Right.

President Trump: These were, these were people, this was an actual, you know, it happened a few days ago, and uh …

Acosta: They’re hundreds of miles away, though. They’re hundreds and hundreds of miles away, that ...

President Trump: You know why? Honestly …

Acosta: … that’s not an invasion.

Looks likes like the idiot was trying to debate rather than report.

I'm surprised by the Judge's ruling.

It seems to me there needs to be some kind of standard of conduct for a reporter.

What is a reporter went farther than Acosta, and refused to give back the mic? What if he was even worse than Acosta?

Shouldn't the White House press secretary have the leeway to remove credentials in such cases?

    I would think so.

    Not just debate, but argue.

"As you know, the caravan is not an invasion…."

That's not a question, that's an in your face challenge.

CNN is spinning faster and faster down the toilet.

I'm not surprised. The judge is trying to stay neutral and solve a problem. The solution is easy. It will still result in little Jimmy sitting out the press conferences. Maybe CNN will make him a little room to pout in with hot cocoa and stuffed animals.

the judge, regardless of his 'affiliations', should be disbarred for overstepping his bounds...

anywho, why do we allow anyone (cnn, dnc, whomever) to go 'judge shopping'? when i need to sue a client/customer, i'm forced by law to sue them in their 'home state/city', i can't even bring action against them in my own home state/county, even though that is where the 'transaction/business' took place...

imo, as i see it, any and all lawsuits filed against a potus, should be heard by all of scotus, and only by scotus. yes, i feel that way regardless of whom would be potus... lower courts have no jurisdiction here...

Not even close. It was an argument about immigrants in the caravan. Maybe you should actually start checking stuff.

Acosta was doing his job and today, the judge thought so as well. Given Trump's crazy rhetoric about the press / media, any crazy restrictions the White House tries to enact will end up in a court fight and my money is on the press / media winning, especially knowing who their lawyers are :D.

Nah, the judge only made a temporary solution while details are being worked out.

So I guess you missed the questions he asked? I think you also missed Trump interrupting the questions to state his own non facts and deflect (the ad showing people going climbing the wall which was not the caravan in question in the ad nor the one before it) and the fact that the ad DID portray the caravan in a negative light. He can say "We need them" but out of the other side of his mouth he also has said none will be let in.
    You're answer is a fail.

Trump prevented Acosta from distributing zero things. To suggest the 50 seat press room is open to the public is just plain silly. There is not a single word in The Constitution about the a president's obligation to talk to the press. It is 100% voluntary. You are quite wrong on this.

Not at all. Small minds focus on people because they are not mentally equipped to ponder big ideas and concepts.

You know the funny thing is this judge was appointed by Trump
Was going to say something similiar. I would have to go back and listen to the actual audio for this whole back and forth but it SEEMS like Trump keeps cutting him off in the middle of asking the question(s). I would also like to add I have seen similar exchanges about different topics multiple times in these press conferences with other reporters so is this really out of the ordinary?

A reality TV personality was elected by the electoral college — of course it resembles reality TV.

Actually your comprehension of the situation is a fail just as Acosta's ability to act like an adult. Is this not your post?

I reminded you. He didn't intend to ask a question. He intended to make a statement. If he wants to make a statement he can go through his representative. That isn't what press conferences are for. They are so reporters (Acosta wouldn't know a reporter if one crawled up his ass) to ask questions, not for a debate session. AGAIN here is a reminder of the conversation where Acosta tried to start an argument with the president. Keep in mind, reporters usually get one question with maybe a follow up.

Acosta: Thank you Mr. President. I want to challenge you on, on one of the statements that you made in the tail end of the campaign, uh, in the midterms …

President Trump: Here we go …

Acosta: Well, if you don’t mind …

Now tell me, how is that not Acosta arguing with the president during a question and answer session?

Nahh. The judge just gave Trump the rope he needs to hang Acosta with. The only argument that CNN had was that Acosta wasn't allowed to whine enough so the judge said (Paraphrased) "Let him whine, ban him and let's get on with it because beyond that they guy doesn't have an argument. It is just going to take another two steps to do it."

So I hear a judge ruled that Acosta will get his press pass back.

Doesn’t Trump choose who asks the questions? Does he have the right to ignore Acosta? He can report on the press conference, but do they have to allow him to speak?

Actually, I didn't find Acosta to be rude and disruptive or unruly. What he did was to ask a question that Trump didn't want to answer,
and Trump responded by tossing him. Trump always responds by personally denigrating reporters when he is asked penetrating questions. If I am not mistaken, the question involved the choice of a replacement for the ousted Attorney General. Didn't Trump
admit finally that he hired the guy to shortstop the Mueller investigation?
