    Can you ever stay on topic? And yes, the 60k number comes from the federal government. And it includes applications from those who crossed illegally.

    Maximum employment is the level of employment rates where the type of employment is not in demand.

    I addressed the topic quite specifically in post # 59. A reply you ignored entirely. You're straying off topic. Angel mom's and dad's have nothing to do with asylum seekers. The organization does not oppose any form of legal immigration.

    Not really. The remaining unemployed are there for multiple reasons. It can be considered structural (employees not matched geographically) or frictional (willful, etc). And of course you do have the jobs that the current workforce (US citizens) does not desire as you mention.

    In fact your definition would cry out for welcoming new immigrants.

    I didn't ignore it. It was where you accused me of smearing the victims and suggested I shouldn't even be allowed to voice an opinion. I didn't think your post was worth a reply.

    The propaganda event by Trump tried to compare the Angel's plight to those of asylum seekers in a demeaning way.

    You certainly inferred they were spewing propaganda. It was the "most disgusting and obvious propaganda" you'd ever seen. That was post # 2 ... Post # 1 "victims clearly being coached" that certainly butchers the victims integrity. I never suggested you had no right to voice an opinion, I questioned by what sacrifice and privilege you claim the right to declare the victims grievances are just propaganda. Time magazine is "parading" a child victim who of course isn't, but Angel parents are actors being "coached"? You wouldn't recognize propaganda if it bit you.

    For the fourth or fifth time ...

    In 1986, Reagan reached an agreement with the Democratic congress: Reagan agreed to a one time amnesty for 3 million illegals in exchange for the Democrats sealing the Southern border.

    Reagan signed the amnesty bill, then the Democrats quietly went into hiding and did nothing about the border. The Democrats welched on the deal. They lied.

    Upon leaving office, Reagan said that was the single biggest mistake of his presidency. He was schnookered.

    Democrats are a dishonorable bunch.

    Trump was using them as propaganda, and they were clearly coached to use the "permanent separation" phrase. A couple even referred directly to the families seeking amnesty, although they only referred to them as "illegal".

    But that is 100% on Trump for using them that way.

    Can't legally send them accross international lines without a parent or guardian either accompanying them or giving permission, and many of them don't have family besides their parent.
