This regime is beginning to make Nazi Germany look tame. To think....they tear children away from their parents....put them in cages....and now want to take soap and tooth brushes away from the kids....SCUM

Seriously. The Democratic controlled House is refusing to allocate any additional money towards the detention facilities, even though they're brimming and filled to the max. So the guards - who are not even particularly well payed - are having to pay for things like soap and toothbrushes... and pillows for the children out of their own pockets.

Just like the budget shutdown (not so long ago) the Democrats are refusing to pay and blaming that on the Republicans.

The DOJ woman who went to court and said immigrant children aren't guaranteed soap and toothbrushes should be fired immediately. However, left-wing news sites are all jumping on the demonize Trump bandwagon. Obama left quite a legacy of over-crowded, 'dehumanized' children in detention. Where was the huffpost back them. Leftists are so phony.

Most women said that menstrual hygiene products and diapers were available on request, but several told us they did not have access to these items while in CBP holding cells. If they had these and other toiletries among their personal property, they were not allowed to retrieve these items while in the holding cells.

The problem isn't so much immigrants, but the number of immigrants.
I put it to you there would be about 4 billion 'refugees' in the world today.
If I recall, there's about 70 million UN refugees - and the rest are 'economic
refugees.'
In Australia we considered Iranians to all be 'refugees." Be they Sunni, Shia
or Bahai. And Sri Lankans to this day are considered 'refugees' though their
country is not at war and has held free elections.
I am sure Trump has no issue with a few immigrants - its this vast horde of

It can't be a matter of the treatment of the immigrants, because the immigrants were treated basically the same under the Obama administration. On Obama's watch, there was a detention facility in Texas where immigrant children were being sexually abused and even killed, and it never made it beyond the local media in the town where it occurred.

It can't be political. Surely the left wouldn't just pretend to care about the plight of refugees only when it's politically advantageous. That would just be hypocritical and despicable. You're not hypocritical and despicable, are you, lefties?

It must be volume. Only when a certain number of immigrants are being poorly treated does it trigger the compassion of the left.

It’s because private prisons won’t budge. They branched out to the detention centers. If a government facility starts giving them soap the private ones have to also and here comes the lobbyist. If it wasn’t for republicans this would not be happening it is the issue of all of us but they decided to continue this path with the mentality Christianity be damned.

If they did not come with a tooth brush and soap, then they might not use a toothbrush and soap. Maybe these are not common items for the kids and they really don't want them anyway.

Why would we give those things to people who aren't even supposed to be here because they came into this country illegally.

If there is ever a squatter in your house that broke the law by entering your house illegally, perhaps you would give those things to them, and would think that it would be wrong to kick them out.

Leftists want everyone else to take care of illegal immigrants. They refuse to take care of them themselves. They want to buy indulgences with other people's money.

If we are going to give these things to non citizens who broke the law by entering this country illegally, what about our own citizens who are homeless? Democrats dont care about them. They care more for criminal aliens than they do about their own citizens. Mass illegal immigration is in part driving the homeless crisis in California.

They perpetuate homelessness with their failed policies. Then they lecture us about how we should be taking care of the people of the word, while they refuse to take care of those at home, and instead exacerbate their suffering.
