The closest I can find to any reference to Durbin leaking the story is a speculation from Breitbart, but at this point, people need to start having the courage to stand by their leaks. Outrageous claims need outrageous proof, and that only begins when people are actually willing to stand by their claims.

 

I wouldn't care either way, because they are shitholes. But the trouble here is the left going into a frenzy and already asking the whole world how they feel about Trump saying something he may or may not have said. Even if he did say it, they should have never made an effort to spread it across the globe. That's dangerous, ESPECIALLY if he never said it. And if it turns out that he never said it, he needs to sue every organization that ran the story and every journalist who ran it should be terminated immediately.

He's describing the meeting. Said so-called president used the term "Shithole" -- yes, he actually said it on air, live -- and he said Trump used the term repeatedly.

Whether he said it or not is irrelevant unless you are just uptight and think no president should ever be human and speak his mind.

I'm sorry but it sounds like your trying to shift the blame off of Trump for the words he spoke. If any other official said something like this you wouldn't be trying to do that. The ultimate responsibility for the words he speaks lies with him, not the news media for doing what they always do when a politician executes a dunce maneuver.

Trump is the ****ing president. No other president in history that I am aware of has ever resorted to using such crass language to describe other sovereign nations. President Trump made our country some enemies with his mouth diarrhea and we gained literally nothing from it.

“The president’ comments are unkind, divisive, elitist, and fly in the face of our nation’s values,” Love said in a statement, noting that her parents, Mary and Jean Maxime Bourdeau, emigrated from Haiti and made their home in America. “This behavior is unacceptable from the leader of our nation.”

Her parents, she said, took an oath to their adopted country and “took on the responsibilities of everything that being a citizen comes with.”

Does anyone really argue whether Haiti is a shithole or not?

 

Of course the racist lied about what he said in the meeting yesterday afternoon, and of course he used the phrase "shithole countries". And we know this to be true for a couple of reasons; present at the meeting were Republican lawmakers Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton, Bob Goodlatte, Kevin McCarthy & David Perdue. For the Democrats - Dick Durbin. Now, it seems to me that if Trump was misquoted by the media, at least one of those Republicans would have rushed to his defense. So far, I haven't seen any such defense - not one of them has refuted the story. Dick Durbin has confirmed the story......

Just more proof the buffoon in the White House is a pathological liar. And it is more proof he doesn't have a clue of what he is doing......

"There were dozens of congressman in the room" isn't exactly comforting when attempting to discern the truth.

And I wouldn't care if anyone else said this, had it been a democrat, I'd admire them for finally speaking the truth. The trouble, as I said, is claiming Trump said this when there's no proof. It's not what he said that troubles me because those countries really are shitholes.

If this story had come out about Bill Clinton or even George W. Bush nobody would have believed it without a video clip. But because Trump is the font of crass evil that he is, the story is readily believable. If he had even a modicum of presidential presence and demeanor a story like this - even if it were a total fabrication - would never gain any traction. Just more proof he's not fit to be a leader.

Actually Durbin is only one source for verifying Trump's atrocious comments. The other source of course is the 5 Republican legislators in that same meeting - their total silence on this is all the confirmation sane people need. These 5 Republicans did not back up the leader of their party? Of course it's obvious they didn't want to be counted as liars as well. In other words, we didn't need Durbin to come out on the record.......
