Says he was in the white house during Christmas and that many many people came to him and said, do the right thing, we need the wall. Homeland Security came to him and said, we need the WALL. As if all kinds of people came to him and said this...
This is always his approach, lay out a lie as if everyone wants him to do what he has already decided to do. it is a totally narcissistic approach to swaying others what you want them to think is TRUE, when it isn't.

He has done this over and over and over again in 90% of these types of situations. I can't be the only one to notice it.
I actually remember him doing it in Atlantic City.. "The People of AC need these JOBS, they have told me, build the WORLDS GREATEST Casino "MR. TRUMP" " Please do it for us, they told him. This is how he leverages opinions. It works when talking to the gullible that dont know him.

A wall wasn't a bad idea 40 years ago. You could actually have built one with people and labor. Today, they will dig thousands of tunnels. They told me so... The people of Mexico have told me. "Mr. Quadhole, can you please tell america that we will dig, dig thousands, maybe millions of tunnels if needed to get food, we are prisoners here to our own people who have nothing, thus, only the strong survive and we need food and shelter" I asked why, they said, because America ignore them for a hundred years, not bringing jobs, wealth, or helping them grow into a democracy when it was possible, we ignored them and empowered CHINA in place of it. How smart is our country ?

Can someone tell me the Steel companies that have become VERY VERY powerful over the last 2 years that Trump is referring too. When he mentions these are the companies that would build the WALL out of Steel ?
I am curious who he is talking about ?

Also, does the new America, Mexico, Canada Trade deal that Jared Kushner and Others negotiated bring in Billions and billions of dollars for the Government as Trump just mentioned ? He said it will bring in Billions and Billions of dollars that will allow us to pay for the wall in a year, 2 or 3.

They got him rolling now, he has no problem dropping out the lies

He was also asked how he can defend the wall promise considering the current state of it all and how the taxpayer is no on the hook for the cost. First, he started out by insulting the journalist who asked, then he said the US will make "billions and billions" on his tariffs and he "trade deal which is far more than the cost of the wall". But IF "billions" are made on any trade deal, that is billions going to businesses, mainly. So it STILL DOESN'T reimburse the taxpayer for the wall. It remains an added cost for the taxpayer.

So it's another case of him being full of bullshit.

I have heard that people most familiar with Trump's tactics from his antics in the business world are amazed that Americans have been falling for his crap in politics.

Are you serious? I haven't seen a lot of prosecutions for a white collar criminal stealing a car of breaking into a house. Noe back to reality. Why do you lock your door or remove your keys form your car.

You are referring back when America was great and you didn't need to lock the doors on your house or take the keys out of the ignition when you ran inside a liquor store to buy a pack of smokes and a six pack.

You also didn't need a wall on the border and cops would call La Migra when they encountered an illegal alien on the streets.

And everyone spoke English. and you could own any kind of gun to protect your family and home including black scary looking guns.

President Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Chinese steel imports on May 31, 2018. Trump’s opposition to using imported steel, coupled with his promise to boost manufacturing, bodes well for the U.S. steel industry. The president plans to put $1.5 trillion into infrastructure. In addition, relaxed regulations and corporate tax cuts promise to be great news for steel stocks and the materials sector.

All this will likely help the steel industry, and indeed, companies focused primarily on steel have been gaining over the last twelve months. Here are four that appear poised for future gains. (Note: These stocks were chosen based on industry focus, U.S. business, market cap and returns. Data are reported as of June 28, 2018.)

    Nucor Corporation (NUE)
    • Avg. volume: 2.3 million
    • Market cap: $19.9 billion
    • EPS (TTM): $4.09
    • Dividend yield: 2.30%
    • Price: $62.53
    • One-year target est: $77.70
Nucor is the largest steel manufacturer in the U.S. by market cap at $19.9 billion. The company is a leading U.S. steel provider with its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its operations include steel mills, steel products and raw materials. It is heavily involved in construction, which positions Nucor to profit from Trump’s focus on infrastructure. Its connections in the construction of highways, bridges, hospitals, schools and airports put it squarely in the sights of Trump’s building plans. In addition, Nucor has a strong presence in the auto industry and the energy sector. This is no newcomer to the steel business. The company dates back to 1940.

    Dividend yield: 2.30%
    • Price: $62.53
    • One-year target est: $77.70

Nucor's stock price is up 9.55% over the past year.

    Steel Dynamics Inc. (STLD)
    • Avg. volume: 2.2 million
    • Market cap: $10.7 billion
    • EPS (TTM): $3.50
    • Dividend yield: 1.57%
    • Price: $45.81
    • One-year target est: $53.50
Steel Dynamics has a market cap of $10.7 billion and recorded a one-year return of 35.92%. The company manufactures and recycles steel products. It works in sheet steel, coated steel, steel beams, rails and steel bars. The company also has an extensive scrap metal operation.

    Reliance Steel and Aluminum (RS)
    • Avg. volume: 489,707
    • Market cap: $6.4 billion
    • EPS (TTM): $8.34
    • Dividend yield: 2.15%
    • Price: $87.85
    • One-year target est: $101.13
Reliance Steel and Aluminum has a market cap of $6.4 billion. Its one-year return is 24.01%. It also has a relatively low price to earnings ratio of 10.53. The company provides global metals services. It manages a network of metals service centers worldwide with business operations in 13 countries. The stock is trading at $87.85. Analysts have a high target price for the stock of $101.13.

    United States Steel (X)
    • Avg. volume: 10.1 million
    • Market cap: $6.1 billion
    • EPS (TTM): $3.29
    • Dividend yield: 0.54%
    • Price: $34.38
    • One-year target est: $46.85

United States Steel was founded in 1901 and has its headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its one-year return is leading the industry at 56.82%. It provides steel products and solutions for infrastructure, automotive, appliance, container, industrial machinery, construction and energy companies. The company has a market cap of $6.1 billion. It is trading at $34.38.

    The Bottom Line
In the information age, it is easy to think of steel as an old-fashioned industry that has seen better days. The truth is, steel is coming into its own once again as a vital product. If the United States leads the way in rebuilding infrastructure, steel stocks could be a superior investment.

How much steel were we buying from China in May 2018?
Have you overlooked the losses of the companies that use that steel?
For those steel companies that are using this subsidy to build new plants - good on you.
For those reopening 100 year old plants - you will still go broke when you have to compete.

Aperchat.Your utopia as you describe it has never existed in my lifetime and I am 78.Illegals have streamed into America in every year of my lifetime primarily in the role of migrant farm labor with many remaining each year as semi permanent residents.Without immigrsants the USA will shrivel up and die especially now with our shrunken birth rate.

His Investopia link is just a list of steel corps. Has nothing to do with paying for the wall, or BILLIONS of dollars Trump says is coming in.... A long list of steel stocks LOOK imposing to those who by the hype and the lies. Nothing more, those who do actual economic research also know this is all BS. Like TRUMPS PLAN to Infrastructure, wont happen either because there is no money. We gave several Billion to Israel this year and they have all the money they could ever need. Then they are home to many billionaires that rape this country. Have no debt at all and we still hand them billions. Thanks Trump !
