The aids epidemic was a long time ago. Well before Pence was governor. He did oppose a needle exchange program as governor, but a lot of people oppose that and not necessarily for religious reasons. With the current opioid epidemic which dwarfs aids, should government be providing needles to users? It might prevent the spread of some disease, but what is the cost in human carnage due to the drug use it encourages? I think there is plenty of room for legitimate debate there.

Let's see. Real estate. Someone borrows your money to buy property and pays you interest. Then they hire someone to build on the property and maybe a business rents the property. The greenbacks didn't get buried on the property.

How do you think stocks and bonds work? Do they put your money in a safe at Apple Inc. while you hope it goes up in value? Hell no. The cash is hard at work providing jobs, building things, and creating innovation. And you might lose your money. Even a dumb investment like gold coins means there are employed gold miners, truck drivers, smelters, operators of mints, guards, secretaries, accountants, HR personnel, payroll people, the whole enchilada.

And even if you drop a cool million in your local bank drive through window, they are going to likely send it to an investment bank, who will turn around and buy stocks and bonds....while providing a giant building full of people with jobs that buy houses, cars, boats, etc.

Where ever did you get the notion that investments just let your money sit somewhere? It is only with money that perpetual motion is possible.

    "Means nothing"?

No. We don't impeach Presidents very often, so it's a very meaningful move.

Fair enough. However Pence was quoted specifically delaying due to his religious belief, and that his moral objections stemmed from his religious beliefs. The drug epidemic in America is a wasteland of carnage no doubt. I have seen it first hand. My best friend in the world is a meth addict. :( It breaks my heart on a daily basis.

IMO. We first need to look at addiction as an illness, and not a crime. Drug addicts should be sent to rehab, not jail. I think any option that is proven to be effective should be looked at. This includes needle exchanges ( which DO save lives during an outbreak ). Some would say. screw them, let them die. I simply cannot have that little compassion for another human being. Support and education are the keys. And thats where we should be starting.

They would "revolt" the same way a city "revolts" when their team wins the World Series.

In terms of the impeachment process, what happens to Trump after an impeachment that is not followed by removal by the Senate?

Considering how even Fox News is losing its spin ability and the waning of base support and belief in Trump...no revolt is even slightly indicated.

Being recorded in history as only the third President to be impeached matters. Especially to him.

You're acting as though it's only a "slap on the wrist", and it's hardly that,

You avoided the question. I will ask again:
In terms of the impeachment process, what happens to Trump after an impeachment that is not followed by removal by the Senate?

I'm not avoiding a question that requires me to read tea leaves.

You seem to think it's meaningless, so you tell me.

    You are.
And since you are, and you know you are, I will answer it for you:

    Question:
In terms of the impeachment process, what happens to Trump after an impeachment that is not followed by removal by the Senate?
    Answer:
Nothing. Failure to remove ends the process.

Feel free to show how I am wrong.

    *LOL*

    You're being ridiculous.

OK, so I guess it's "not a big deal" to be impeached if you're not removed.

Except that it is, and you know it.

We both know, my embarrassed chum.

"Impeachment without removal? Pshaw--no biggie! We impeach Presidents all the time, and stuff"

    *LOL*

I'm sorry you do not like the fact the impeachment process ends with the acquittal/removal of the President after the senate trial, but, indeed, it does.
    Feel free to show otherwise.

Well, not exactly--it goes to the Senate for a cable news extravaganza, then it dies.

    You’re embarrassing yourself. Please continue.

Unless, of course, you can show some evidence that being impeached is “not a big deal”. Which is facially preposterous.

Desperate for a Trumpish "win", eh?

Well, err, "congrats", my poorly spinning chum.
