Whoever wrote this "This idea that corporations pay tax is ridiculous."

Oh... now I get it. So "black or white option" means that you make a statement, I when I rebut it you deny making the statement.

My point is the contrary. The difference is that I presented arguments that you could not respond to, and you didn't. Well... you did present one argument. But then you denied making it. So I guess "you didn't make any arguments" is appropriate.

You love to spin what people say and then argue against you fallacies.

Of course corporations pay tax, which is 100% passed on to consumers.

    No. You don't get it.

Taking my statement that corporate tax cuts are not welfare, and instead suggesting my position is EITHER they pay the high tax or no tax... is creating an absolute fallacy.

And yet, even as you puff up your chest and try to "win" (an internet debate no less) you failed to respond or discuss the following points... most likely because you are logically incapable of doing so.

    1. Reduction in taxes is not welfare
    2. All business and corporate tax is paid 100% by consumers
    3. High corporate taxes put the US at a global trade disadvantage
    4. Taxing corporations gives consumers a false sense of security that the coat of government is being paid by others, when in fact its increasing the cost of goods and services and putting middle class Americans out of work in the name of overseas manufacturing.

So... want to try to actually debate any of those points?

What am I spinning? I'm quoting you! This is ridiculous.

Look... I understand if you now want to correct yourself. And that's fine. But you said what I quoted. Those are your words. Don't try to blame me if you misspoke.

Yes! See? Again you reason like a liberal. Because everything that corporations make... every single penny, comes from consumers. Thus dispelling the absurd right-wing mantra that it's "the rich" who create jobs and produce wealth. As you have correctly stated, it's consumers who create everything: wealth, jobs, taxes, .... everything.... And since consumers are composed primarily of the middle class, it's a strong middle class what fuels progress.

Are you sure you're not a liberal? Your reasoning again and again seems to come back to facts in favor of which liberals have arguing for decades.

I did not take that statement. I took this statement: You said: "This idea that corporations pay tax is ridiculous." I quoted it before and I quote it again. I guess you wish to retract. That's fine....

Oh, I never leave anything unanswered. At least not intentionally. Let's see what you got.

Maybe not. But reduction in taxes to billionaires and corporations that don't need it is.

I already wholeheartedly agreed with that. And it's the reason why consumers (i.e. the middle class, mostly) are the ones who should receive tax breaks. Put more money in their pockets, they consume more, and the economy soars....Our economy has always done better when we have a strong middle class.

It used to be much higher. Back in the days when we became the world's greatest economy by far. Now what corporations actually pay is much lower. In many cases they pay zero. And, as a result, other countries are catching up. So facts don't appear to support your conclusion.

And yet, our unemployment is around 4% Wages have gone down, but that's because Republicans oppose all legislation that would create fair wages.

Buttom line: see above. When working families were above the poverty line, we did much better than now that Republicans protect corporations and the rich instead of protecting the ones who create wealth: the middle class.

    I'd be happy to.
