Trump is either dumber than people thought or is desperately hoping that people will believe that he is simply inept rather delivering the exact thing which Putin wanted, and got, with zero cost to Russia.

And now, Republicans are so desperate to find a way to avoid criticizing Trump for his betrayal of an American ally, that they want to blame the Democratic Impeachment Inquiry. Although, to be fair to Romney, the two are related:

Trump is an inept, incompetent, and corrupt President and that is both why he is currently facing impeachment AND why Turkey invaded Syria. Also possible that the invasion occurred now because Putin saw that Trump's time as President is limited and then ordered Trump to withdraw.

That's a good one for fake news. Turkey informed us they were going to do what they are doing and Trump pulled out our 50 or so troops to keep them safe. This conflict has been going on since the 10th century and the war machine wants us there forever to babysit. The Europeans do not want to do their part and this is more their problem than ours.

The Arab coalition was put together to help fight this kind of crap and why we support Saudi Arabia in it's cooperation. Time for the Europeans to get off their bums and do something.

Turkey has wanted to invade that region for years. US Deployment prevented that invasion. Removing the US Deployment caused the invasion.

A barrier to what exactly? What is it you think Turkey will stop that we care about from Russia or Iran? You realize Iran has support on the OTHER side of Turkey and can now access them on two fronts. While Russia CAN'T BE STOPPED BY TURKEY UNDER ANY REALISTIC CIRCUMSTANCE. They can do what they want to Turkey and the only thing that stops them is...the US.

So by pulling out troops in that region, you have just given it to Russia and Iran. You have let Russia become the power broker in the region and the nation others will turn to, possibly even the Kurds, in the future. And that won't be good for the US under any circumstance.
