In the video of Nancy P's break down she admits that we need border security and funding for it....apparently that was a slip...

Trump never said the Wall is the only answer to the illegal immigration problem. Did he? Yes or No?

Border wall built in 1990s cut illegal immigration, but it ...

It wasn’t until federal workers finished installing bollard fencing in 2008 that illegal immigration in that area really started to fall off, Border Patrol Community Liaison Agent Jason Bush said.

Aug 22, 2017 · A triple layer of fencing, more Border Patrol agents and bollard-style barriers along the border have reduced illegal crossings from Mexico into Yuma, Arizona, by nearly 90 percent.

Moreover the migration that causes the border to be manned and increasing border security does limit the drug traffickers and the child trafficking.

Before WW ll just about every cadet who graduated from West Point earned a degree in engineering.

During peace time what did the U.S. Army do in America's history ?

They built things, coastal defense forts, military forts in the wilderness and military roads that would become America's U.S. highways today.
    '
The U.S. Army has always been in the construction business, the Army Corps of Engineers.

Let the U.S. Army build the wall along the Mexican border, that's what the U.S. Army is for.

Trump did what he is best at. Calling out Democrats for who they really are and drawing a line in the sand with them. If they are going to act like children then they are going to get treated like children. Refusing this 5 billion request (Which Democrats will approve to enforce a no drinking straw bill or approve to fund housing for illegal immigrants) shows they only have interest in stalling or resisting. You need look no further than the Kavanaugh hearings to see them for who they really are. A band of entrenched criminals hosted by a gaggle of children supporters.

Their time is up and this country is moving forward, with, or without them. Good job Trump

So you admit Trump got over on Pelosi and Schumer. Finally you are one leftist that gets it. Figured it out. Yayyyyy!

Oh is that what he wants. Funny how you don't remember what promises he kept.

Oh and the SDNY is filled with delusional leftists that will do anything to get Trump out of office. Its why no one is taking them serious. Hence the WSJ mocking them.

See? Not only is it stupid expensive to build and maintain, and bound to be circumvented, but based on emotionally charged lies about "invasions" by poor people and the absurd pretense that current border security is not keeping illegals out.

I'm sure we have been over this before. It just never gets through. Deal with the incentives for them to come here, such as the employment they always find (including by Trump himself, lol) and the pitiful situations they face in their home countries, instead of erecting a new Great Wall that won't even stop them and will add a **** TON to the national debt, especially over time, and save us NOTHING monetarily in return.

You dont consider mobs of foreigners rushing past our barricades an invasion?

    I do

Libs are free to deal with the incentives if they are serious

Which most of you are not

But we still need the wall

Well it is the only one he has proposed. But then anything with any complexity seems beyond Trump. And just stupid to point out how building a fence in one area works to reduce illegal immigration in that area as an example of what would happen with whatever his partial fence is actually going to cover. When a road is blocked what do you do, you take another road. What do you do when a fence is built. You cross at another area. What do you do when a total fence is built. You get a ladder

We have mobs trying t rush past the defenders

Places where a 30 ft trump wall would make the border patrols job much easier

No not really.....as he offered the Demos that he would give the Dreamers a pathway to citizenship if they gave up chain migration and the diversity lottery visa.

The Black caucus refused to budge on Chain Migration. The Demos failed them.

Which is where I disagreed with Trump. They don't need to be given the Right to vote to stay legally in the country.

Going over the fence isn't as easy as it use to be due to the drone surveillance.

Of course there is the checkpoints. But rushing a gateway in isn't to smart. As was proven.

    Its both.....Walls and Fence.

Looks like the globalists will have to take the extreme of tunneling.

I wonder how many have died due to cave ins. Probably not enough to prevent others from trying.

    no we don't.

no it wouldn't as a 30 ft wall is quite easily defeated.

Good Idea on 'The Wall:' Demand Funding For Physical Barriers That Congress Has Already Approved

The Trump administration has already proffered a fair and productive compromise on immigration reform. It was rejected, along with every other proposal under consideration. So it's time to change course. In the past, I've suggested that the president should insist that Democrats live up to previous commitments on border security. Writing at the Washington Examiner, Byron York revives that theme:

No one, or almost no one, says a fence should cover all 1,954 miles of the border. A significant part of the border is terrain so dangerous and imposing that it would be very difficult for migrants to cross. During the campaign, and during his presidency, Trump called for a wall along about 1,000 miles...But Democrats oppose even that. And since Republicans could not pass wall funding when they controlled all of Congress and the White House, how could they possibly do it now, with Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., in charge of the House? Still, there is one possible course for Republicans. It is Public Law 109-367, better known as the Secure Fence Act. The Act was passed by big, bipartisan majorities in 2006, receiving 283 votes in the House and 80 in the Senate. It required the federal government to build reinforced fencing, at least two layers deep, along about 700 miles of the border. It specified the areas in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas where fencing would be installed.

That law passed on a sweeping, bipartisan basis in 2006, then Democrats defanged it the following year, after winning the midterm elections. But in its original form, a host of prominent Democrats signed on to the Secure Fence Act, including Senators Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Dianne Feinstein and...Chuck Schumer:

Trump could call it "the wall" and declare victory. Democrats could insist that it's just "previously-agreed upon" fencing, so they didn't cave. This really shouldn't be so difficult, but dysfunction is the norm in today's political environment......snip~

Trump should have been like.....yo cheese ya mope. When I talking to you. You look at me. Chastize them like children. Should have done the whole routine with pointing. Then finishing I wouldn't want you to be confused and say you heard voices.
