"So how is Mexico paying for the Great Wall of Trump" indirectly? Be specific.

Maybe it's keeping the GOP pervs out of Mexico, which means they need to molest women and kids here in the USA, allowing for lawsuits that give money to spend here in the USA which goes to treasury?

Trump clarified today that military action against Panama and Denmark is on the table.

Will he declare war, or just do a Hitler-like trick and move his military and nukes in? Seems he wants to go out in a blaze of glory too with his focus on WWIII.

We didn't declare war last time we invaded Panama. As a matter of fact we have not declared war since WW2, even though we have found many wars.

Also, he wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. This gets crazier by the minute. I'm sure, however, MAGA will cheer.

I wonder why he isn't just proposing to annex the whole world. That would be easier than going country by country. Then, the MAGA Borg collective would be complete. Resistance is futile, wasn't that the MAGA motto between 2017 and 2020?

Should he bring back conscription, and if so should he pardon those with heel spurs?

Seems like another disingenuous post. What was actually said:

Asked at a press conference at his Florida resort whether he could assure the world he would not use military or economic coercion as he tries to gain control of the Panama Canal and Greenland, Trump said, "No, I can't assure you on either of those two. But I can say this, we need them for economic security."

Thank you for confirming what I said. He is not taking military action off the table, so it remains on the table, just like I said.

    What was your complaint again?

Well of course he's not taking economic nor military action off the table. I just wanted to make sure the context you so eloquently ignored, was known to other posters. To expect anyone to start negotiations by taking their leverage off the table is dumb.

So, you want the US presisdent to negotiate with other countries (which are friendly with us, I should note) using military force as a threat? Are you for real?

And if Panama and Denmark ignore Trump's threats, will he attack them? And if so, since he wants to withdraw from NATO, should the NATO members protect Denmark and Panama?
Or is he just playing childish games?

The better question is, is Trump real and wants to outdo his Russian friend.

    I did not ignore anything.

Threatening allies with war is not a negotiation, or using leverage, it's a territorial demand and a threat of violence.

It's the kind of "negotiation" where you threaten to murder your neighbors family unless they cut your grass for free.

Panama is not NATO, but Denmark is. So what happens when one member attacks another? I'm not sure there is a rule for it.

    Sure is a rule !!!

The NATO Alliance consists of 30 member states from North America and Europe. Article Five of the treaty states that if an armed attack occurs against one of the member states, it should be considered an attack against all members, and other members shall assist the attacked member, with armed forces if necessary.

Just another reason not to trust what Trump says, but threatening ones own allies is beyond folly.

I don't think there is a rule for the scenario where one member betrays the alliance, and attacks another member.

Your scenario seems a little specific, I don't think there is an exception due to one being in the alliance.

Clearly you didn't listen to the question Trump was asked, which is rather silly given how easy it is to look up.

He was asked if he would rule out military or economic coercion. He said he would not rule that out.

Fetterman has been urging those that continually freak out over Trump should pace themselves a little more.
