No, because he behaves like a troll. There are plenty of GCAs here who haven't suffered the same fate.

Not me. Bonehead move by Trump. He’s violating the Constitution in at least two ways. He’s infuriating many of his supporters. He thinks he’s throwing progressives a bone but he’s actually dumping a bucket of blood in shark infested waters and diving in headfirst after it.

What he’s done is wrong and stupid.

Nope its for real. Trump acted out of emotion over the Lame Streams play on the issue. Along with the leftness.

The Justice Department has issued a final rule banning bump stocks, amending current regulations surrounding the devices and making clear that guns with "bump stock devices" are effectively machine guns.

"The president is once given fulfilling a promise to the American people and this morning the acting attorney general signed the final rule making clear that bump stocks are illegal because they fall within the definition of machine guns banned under federal firearms law," press secretary Sarah Sanders said at her briefing Tuesday. "A 90-day period now begins which persons in possession of bump-stock type devices must return them to an ATF office or destroy them. Instructions will be posted on the website today.".....snip~

    Didn't take long. Lawsuit filed.

Three Pro-Gun Groups File a Lawsuit Over the Bump Stock Ban. Here's What You Need to Know.....

Bump stock owner Damien Guedes and three pro-gun groups – Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), Firearms Policy Foundation (FPC) and the Madison Society Foundation (MSF) – filed a lawsuit against the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). They are seeking a preliminary injunction, which would keep the ATF from enacting the new bump stock regulation while the court's review its constitutionality.

The plaintiffs argue that the Trump administration's definition of a "bump stock" and a "machine gun" are not one and the same. They're also challenging Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker's authority to issue regulations without being nominated to the role and confirmed by the Senate or by operation of law.

    From the lawsuit:.....snip~

I want to see what happens when the BATF get's their butt sore by the courts for not following the APA when enacting a new regulation and because they failed to follow the APA it is invalidated.

Pleading your ignorance doesn't change what bump stocks are capable of.

They are not capable of anything on their own.
Someone with a bump-stock attached to their rifle is capable of the same thing as if they attached a rubber band or a shoestring.

Machine guns made after 1986 are ILLEGAL for the public to own.

Bump-stocks were designed and built and sold for ONE single purpose: to facilitate rapid-fire of semi-automatic weapons with minimal effort by the user.

they violate the intent and spirit of the NFA's ban and regulation upon machine guns.

don't like it? go argue with the US Department of Justice.

To be clear, machine guns are not "illegal" per se, just prohibitively expensive.

And, I would agree that the sole purpose of bump stocks is to get around the prohibitive expense of an actual machine gun.

    This is not illegal.

You are allowed to get around laws. That also is legal.
