What questions? Yes, the ones I posted. You know, questions that are central to the border issue and the ability to have a discussion about it.

The DHS/ICE/CBP have categorically called for more border infrastructure. Had you spent any time learning about the subject, you wouldn't claim otherwise.

 

They have called for technology, more immigration judges and strategic placement or repair of certain sectors of wall.

They have not called for what trump is proposing

Are you familiar with the technology that is currently being used on the border right now, and has been added to over the years?

Do you know they currently have vehicle and man borne surveillance systems in place right now, and operating? Do you know they have drones, FLIR, laser and ground movement systems? And yet, thousands of people are avoiding capture every day?

Are you of the belief none of these systems are currently deployed?

They have significant technology, and it's not working. Have you read their reports, or are you just not interested?

 

I’ve read several, also a few showing that walls do not work in the majority of sectors where they have been built.

Technology is only as good as the person using it.

That said the apprehensions are at record lows which means that it is effective in both apprehending and as a deterrent.

Possibly record lows mean that it’s effective or it’s sorely underfunded/understaffed poorly trained. I’m sure ice budget is public but I don’t know the numbers I’m just throwing out a theory. I think visa and asylum courts are a very large issue as they seem to be woefully understaffed/funded

Their proposal included border security items plus more than a billion for the wall. Which he refused and then shut the government down.
