Former President Donald Trump, in his highly awaited speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference Saturday night, spoke out about the "battle for our lives" against both Democrats and establishment Republicans, and told an enthusiastic crowd that they have been engaged "in an epic struggle to rescue our country from the people who hated it and want to absolutely destroy it."

He also swore that the Republican Party "is never going back to the party of Paul Ryan, Carl Rove, and Jeb Bush."

"We had a Republican Party that was ruled by freaks, neocons, globalists, open border zealots, and fools," said Trump. "We're not going back to people that want to destroy our great Social Security system, even some in our own party, I wonder who that might be that wants to raise the minimum age of Social Security to 70, 75, or even 80 in some cases, and are out to cut Medicare to a level that it will no longer be recognizable."

Trump also declared that "we're in a Marxism state of mind, a Communism state of mind."

"The sinister forces trying to stop me, silence you, and turn this nation into a Socialist dumping ground for criminals, junkies, Marxist thugs, radicals, and dangerous refugees that no other country wants," he said.

Trump pointed out that he has often said the United States will never be a Socialist country.…

Trump is right about what he’s reported as saying at the annual CPAC event. His ideas are good. His message is on. He is the ruling elites worst nightmare. He will save us from them.

I guess that you will have to watch what he said at the annual event he spoke before to find out.

Trump does not have ideas or policies. He has bad slogans and jingoistic nonsense.

His policies were quite a contrast from what we've had with the "Biden Crime syndicate". Not even worth going over with you. You could have listened while he spelled them out.

But then the person would actually have to do what the name here implies.

Great crowd there, laughing when Trump mocked Biden for falling off his bicycle. I am sure many of them consider themselves Christians.

Come on he has an idea that the 2020 seas stolen from him. Sadly it is not 100% his own idea because it has been said that Trump was told that his election of 2020 will be stolen by his My Pillow pillow in a vision he had. You cannot get better information than from a My Pillow pillow.

Many real conservatives and libertarians consider Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment Compensation , Obama Care , and school lunch programs to be Socialist programs. Some even say communist. In fact back during WWII a number of self styled conservatives were opposed to the GI Bill of Rights since they considered that to be Socialist but they were shamed into voting for the GI Bill.

In my opinion the SS age for retirement is too liberal. When SS was implemented people especially men ‘s average age of death was 65 years old. Modern medicine has made that obsolete. Yes there have been adjustments to the minimum SS age but not enough.

oh I forgot Food Stamps ( SNAP) is a socialist program many say.

Perhaps the laughter is just a nervous laughter knowing we have a President that is incapable of speech, walking ascending stairs or yes....riding a bicycle.

Our previous president repeatedly had trouble with speech, had issues with stairs and ramps, and never even attempted riding a bike. These are fake concerns. Those who would laugh about this are being blatantly dishonest.

@yabberefugee is just mad that he can't find any video of Trump riding a bike . . . or being able to drink a bottle of water normally

Wasn't there a part in the speech where Trump praised the fire marshal for letting all of these people in? Pathetic.

The narratives are strong this year, especially with Trump trying to reprise his role as the president he played on TV from 2017-2021. Are we sure CPAC doesn't stand for Conservative Political Acting Company?
