In an exclusive, hour-long interview with Fox News, former President Donald J. Trump will tell "Hannity" that the future of the Republican Party hinges on whether it can coalesce behind the "Make America Great" platform that brought new voters into the "big tent" in both 2016 and 2020.

Trump told host Sean Hannity that there are aspects of the 2020 presidential election that show marked improvement for the GOP, outside of their typical precincts.

As the GOP continues further into being a working-class political party, Trump pointed to what he called a surprising detail in Texas, which on a macro level is already a red state.

Hannity asked Trump if the best path to victory is indeed through candidates running on the conservative platform he touted in 2016 that differentiated him from more establishment Republicans like ex-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush or ex-Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

"Should this now be the Republican Party agenda? Should anybody that wants to run for the House or the Senate -- should they take this "Make America Great" agenda and fight for those things that you fought for the four years you were president?" the host asked.

"If they want to win, yes," the now-Floridaresident responded.

In that regard, the former president also told Hannity he spoke with Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott after noting that the GOP increased its Hispanic vote tally -- particularly in congressional districts along the southern border....

President Trump is doing great in his interview. I’m watching it now. He’s exactly right. The continued transition of the GOP to a multiracial working and middle class populist conservative coalition is a must. America First is the future.

At least you didn't post this in the News forum.

So you guys need to double down on what looks like cult worship to many even though it cost you an incumbent president, the loss of the Senate and the loss of the House?

I agree with him. trump should be the entire party platform till his very last breath. Great strategy!

Make sure to order some more golden statues from China!

Trump gave the Democrats the presidency, house and senate. He has also fractured the GOP. Best republican president ever!

God, I hope not. There has to be someone better than the ****ing clowns we have had the last few elections. All of our politicians need to retire and be replaced by people who will actually work together and find real solutions, instead of the kindergarten playground Washington has become.

To be fair, the calf is from Mexico. But yeah. Lol. Trump and MTG. That's the ticket.

I grew up in Chicago but as a Sox fan. Being a "lovable loser" was never in the picture. Trump supporters are probably Cubs fans.

Civic Nationalism is gaining popularity despite the progressives' attempt to paint it as 'ethnocentric'. So much so, in fact, that the popularity itself is being painted as a 'growing white supremacist' movement, even while the nationalism is becoming more popular among our ethnic minorities. LOL

A twice impeached, Twitter banned, election thieving, morally bankrupt, incumbent loser of the WH and Congress is the leader of Civic Nationalism? Lmao. Yeah, where is David Duke anyway?

The GOP has a very good chance of retaking Congress, but hitching their wagon to a lunatic like Trump won't help. After the 2020 election and what it exposed about him, Trump support is going to be synonymous with the most unhinged extreme fringes of the party.

Not so much a 'leader', just the most visible promoter of it. We can thank corporate media for that. Normal folks don't get ratings.

Ha! The most visible promoter of his own agenda isn't a leader. He's a promoter. Like Bill Graham. Yeah, like that.

    Remember what happened in GA.

I don't think they have a shot in hell. A year from now the virus will be contained, the economy will be booming, and Republicans will be complaining about rainbow colored Tonka Trucks.

Dems pick up Senate seats and at least hold their own in the House.

Leaders have followers. Trump was elected by appealing to ideas that already existed and that other politicians ignored, as opposed to creating ideas and convincing others to support them. So, no, not a leader.

Penn and Wisconsin (with or without that complete Whack-a-doo Johnson). North Carolina will be within 2% points.

Cook and Sabato have Ariz, Ga, NH, and Nev as Lean or Likely D

Yeah, we all know Trump isn't a leader. That's why he's no longer POTUS.

This is classic Trump. No matter what happens in 2022 he can take credit for it. If they pick up seats it was because f MAGA, if they lose seats it was because they were not MAGA enough.

For all his faults, he is the consummate cult leader that is for sure.

I would be satisfied if the D's picked up the 2 Senate seats most ripe for the taking and the House remained Status Quo.

Obviously, there should be no T**** loving Republicans holding office at any time in the future, but we aren't there..... yet...

I liked some of his music, but he is out there in left field most of the time. He should stick to mediocre music.
