Trump tells Russia to 'get ready' for US missile attack on Syria after Kremlin warning: 'They will be coming'

Donald Trump has hit out at Russia after Moscow said it would shoot down any missiles fired at Syria in response to an alleged chemical weapons attack.

The US president told Russia to "get ready", saying: "They will be coming, nice and new and 'smart'!"

Referring to the Syrian president, he added: "You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!"

Macron is claiming attacks will only be against Syrian chemical sites and not against against Syrian allies, Russia, Iran etc. They are talking about if it is more than this and enormous care is not taken to make sure no one else is hit, this could easily kick off into something far more serious.

 

The possible false flag gas attack occurred, as usual, at a critical time. Trump expresses a desire for him to get us out of syria, then came the new gas attack. I guess assad has a very low IQ, and he keeps shooting himself in the foot. Or rather, blowing off both feet. If you want to believe this, go ahead, but some of us are just a bit hesitate to embrace irrationality, given how hard syria has tried to repel the radical muslim invaders, financed by the saudis, and aided by the US.

I bring this up because it appears trump wants to do the opposite of what the people he has surrounded himself with, want. So, he expresses that, but looks to be quickly reined back in by those he has chosen to advise him. But is he just playing a game? He appeases some of his voters with his tweets, in regards to keeping promises, but then reverses it, to only tweet again something which is incoherent with what his people around him want. I see this is a problem. For it sends incoherent messages. His incoherence is irresponsible. No excuse for it.

And so only the actions coming from his admin matters, or has any relevance at all. His words? Not worth the time it takes to tweet them, IMO, if you are wanting him to keep his promises to his voters. He has no control over foreign policy, and instead of him making it, he allows the military to make it. No civilian control!! Unacceptable.

And so we continue to break international law, as we have a habit of doing, as we wage perpetual war for perpetual profits for the FEW.

After one of the radical groups in syria admitted they used chemical attacks in the past. It is documented. And after we had heard that another chemical attack was being planned by others than assad. Which then happened. And after a journalist from canada who spent time in syria, told us that a chemical weapon factor was in one of the occupied towns used by the radicals, that she personally saw, while other journalists would not even go there to look at it.

It is a fact that all gov'ts lie to their people, in various degrees. In the US, we used to have a free press, and journalists who would work to protect the people from the lies of our own gov't but those days are gone. Today they simply beat the war drums, question nothing which is against the official gov't lies, doing what they can to dumb down the american people, by not doing their jobs.

 

Literally threatens Russia in one tweet then wonders why we don't get along better with Russia in the next tweet.

 

I know. Can he be a neutral puppet that makes statements for both camps?

 

Goody I have already been shown in this forum to know absolutely nothing about weapons. However people in Syria already brought down an Israeli plane which was bombing a few weeks ago and they are talking primarily about bringing down anything that attacks..... for the time being.

Please... Let's not refer them as just "people in Syria" as that sort of ideological approach to factual events easily blinds and pushes away from the truth.

I accept what drew me here was I had just heard that the Russians had said they would fire back and came on to put that in rather than read the thread!!I obviously should have read first....
and I know Turkey has its own interest but do not really know much about that.

 

What are you wanting then. The Israelis claimed they were Syrians just like Macron says they are only going to attack Syrians. However the reports I read said the Israelis were attacking Iranians in Syria. As I do not know who they are I put 'people in Syria'.

again Russia is saying it is going to destroy not just the missiles but the Launch sites. If Russia does what it says it is going to do we are on the edge of WW3.

 

You two need to work on your madd reading comprehension skillz. In the second tweet Trump stated why we don't get along better with Russia - Vlad the Invader's bad/hostile decision-making. There was no wondering about it.

 

The situation in Syria is turning into a potential powder keg that go off any minute. On the one hand, you have the threatened US action in response to the fabricated, so-called, "chemical attack" by Assad. On the other hand, you have Israel and its attack a couple days ago on a Syrian air base that left 7 Iranian military advisers and revolutionary guards personnel killed. In response to the latter, Iran has indicated that Israel will pay a heavy price.
