It's likely they are letting illegals vote. I'd bet that the states that are refusing to provide information are states that not only have drivers licenses for illegals but motor voter too. There is little doubt why Democrats, the left and Liberals object to voter ID so vehemently. Their constituents are the most likely to abort future voters, so they have to get new ones from somewhere. It's high time we clean up our voting system, states that won't cooperate should lose ALL federal funding for elections, it's as simple as that.

    Perhaps I can paraphrase Trump:
"If any presidential candidate does not want to share his tax returns, one has to wonder what they’re worried about, and I asked the vice president, I asked the commission: What am I worried about? There’s something. There always is"

What are they worried about? How about the multiple lawsuits that have already been filed by the citizens of the State involved ... that would be my guess.

Off topic, what does Trumps tax returns have to do with voter registration data? Pleas explain how it relates.

Quite a lot, actually. It's the same, "it's none of your business," attitude that Trump has about his taxes that many voters have about letting Trump see their voting records ... get it.

No, obviously you do "get it". There is a vast difference between nosing into an individuals tax return and the masses voter registration data. If you don't thinks so then post your tax return here for all of us to see. You too 3Link, post your tax return here.

Why? I wouldn't post my voting record and I'm not a public official so why would post my tax returns ... you are strange.

Cruds, I changed my address with the CA DMV last week. I forgot to notice if they blocked non citizens since the site did want me to notify the voter rolls. I don't remember if it wanted only citizens or not.

If I were running for president and I wanted to assure people that I wasn't a crook, I would take the time to post my tax returns.

If I were a tyrant looking to identify the people who voted against me so I could somehow make their lives miserable, I'd ask for the states' voting records.

You are criticizing Trump for not handing over his tax returns, why won't you be a leader and show us the way to do it? Post it 3Link.

No one is asking for your voting records. No wonder you people can't win an election unless you cheat more than you have been.

As someone running for president, Trump was expected to release his tax returns. As a normal civilian, I am not expected to release my tax returns. Honestly though I'd be fine with doing it if I were running for office.

Candidates aren't required to release their tax returns either, yet you expect Trump to do what you won't do? So release your tax returns for us to see 3 Link, are you hiding something?

Voter data is PUBLIC business. Amazing you demand this public information be somehow protected and then demand private information be made public.

You do realize I could go and get it and there is nothing you could do about it.

Why don't you want this bipartisan commission to do it's work? What do you have against insuring the integrity of our voting systems and insure no one is disfranchised or suppressed?

Trump wants to get MY voting information in every detail yet Trump takes ZERO effort to secure these records!

Literally, Trump does not even use a secure cel phone to call to people around the world, particular his Russian buddy Putin and friends, and yet he wants to hand compile it all for Trump's peronal use???

Screw that, Trumpies! You are all nothing except traitors and self-deluded sucker, many of you making 25 cents per post to destroy America for the Russians!

Nobody said Trump is required. I said he was expected to release his tax returns because he was running for president.

Unlike Trump, I am not a public figure. If I release my tax return to you, you will know my name, my address, my employers address, et al. If I were running for public office, I wouldn't care about people knowing that information because it would already be public record. <Mod Edit>

Don't you think the IRS would charge you with a crime if you tax returns showed you were a crook? The political parties and LOTS of others already have this data from every state, the states sell it to them. And the data only says IF you voted and if it was a primary in which primary you choose to vote. It does not tell anyone who in the primary they voted or who in the general election they voted.

So there go you worries let's proceed.

They are public records. There is nothing to secure. The Feds can and will investigate voter fraud with or without the State's help.

He asks a legitimate question which has thus far gone unanswered.
