They both are. The Left appeals to envy; Trump appeals to hatred and fear. The Left wants us to wear the chains of Socialism; Trump wants us to wear the chains of nationalism. The Left wants to control speech to spare the feelings of the disenfranchised and the down trodden; Trump wants to control the press to spare his feelings. In any choice between the Left and the Right, liberty is always the loser, the individual is always forgotten, and the truth always tarnished. Is there an alternative? Yes, Ayn Rand.
