well, as we all know, `Beyond Red Lines' from UN and American diplomatic language means only one thing - WAR. Did just Trump say that USA is in war with Assad Alawites , Iran, and Muscovy?

Don't be so bloodthirsty. Violent destruction - is not the only tool at disposal of politicians. I am sure, that even Trump understands, how open invasion would ruin the global politics.

As a note - I do not excuse the incident. I state that invasion will only increase number of victims. It will bring no good.

Assad's days are numbered, whether the US "declares" war or not. Certainly, you can understand that, right?

I've said that 2 yrs ago, not here, but on a different forum. Assad will go, just a matter of "time", whether he dangles or abdicates, to russia that is, I doubt anywhere else would be interested, north Korea?

Totally agree with you, Assad has no army, no economy, no manpower to fight this war. Iran and Muscovites fight in "Syria" own wars ...So without pressure on them , Assadists can stay in power forever

I think you underestimate just how strong Assad actually is. It's a 3-way tie right now....it's not like one side is entirely propped up by Russia's helicopter sorties, and occasional bombing run.

I think the Muscovites and Iranians are playing their own game in Syria, sort of establishing their own turf, I doubt Assad controls much of anything apart from asking the russkis for air support!

Well yes that was always the neocon New American Century plan, began by Bush. Come hell or high water. Then it is on to Iran. This is where Russia and china get involved. Then the fat lady sings on civilization. Show is over. And the arm chair generals on this forum, those that lust for war so they can watch it on their smart phones and TV sets will be gone too. I guess there is a certain justice in that. And they got what they had coming. I risked my life long ago in another contrived war, for these people. Or so I thought when I volunteered in 68. Ironic that the greatest generation gave their lives for these future americans.

In the next 7 to 12 days there will be cruise missles and drone strikes in Syria. We can hope that Assad will be taken out by accident or collateral damage but Ibwill not hold my breath.

Basically this will be a show of force as an example of what can happen. This will be a message sent. A Russian or two could be killed but that would be only by accident since there is no intent to kill Russians on purpose. As they say accidents will happen.

Yes I've been watching some news sources, BBC, CNN, Fox, etc, seems Trump is being briefed and there should be some action soon, or so it seems, and yeah, some Muscovites might be killed, not like they werent warned, and let's hope some russian doesn't get an itch to shoot down some US jet, since it will just escalate from there. I think Assad's days are numbered now, but that's MHO.

50 or 60 Tomahawk cruise missles were sent! I congratulate Trump for having the balls to launch. Yes if a Russian or two die so be it that is a very very small price to pay for peace and stability in a future Syria.

    I predict 18 months.

I also predict that Assad will be assassinated by CIA backed operatives.

The US orchestrated the Arab Spring, which was supposed to bring down Assad as well as the other governments. The US needs control of Syria and will not stop until Assad is gone and a puppet-government is in place. That's the US game plan.

This has nothing to do with Bush or the New American Century plan (whatever it may be), since that was the game plan long before Bush was President.
