You want the President to be able to claim absolute immunity against cooperating with all congressional and criminal investigations?

 

Yes, because that prevents a runaway corrupt Congress, such as what we currently have from unconstitutionally abusing their limited powers.

Criminal investigations are a different arena but still must be kept under strict control by the use of immunity to prevent a repeat of the abuses demonstrated by the Obama Justice Department.

If you agree with Trump's legal theory, what prevents a future President from ordering his top official to commit an objectively impeachable act, and then to declare that individual is absolutely immune from testifying before Congress?

 

If that future President is hounded and promised to be impeached even before he's inaugurated, I'll understand his motives.
