They cross it almost entirely on modes of transport that are already legally cleared to enter the country.

The National Guard doesn’t have the personnel to lock down the border

Also, want to kill National Guard retention and recruitment? That’s a good way to do it.

Bring back the troops from Syria and other middle east hell holes. It will be like a vacation for them.

Get the US out of the UN, and the UN out of the US, and bring all the troops home. Early spring this year is the best time to do that.

Sure, they cross the border, claim asylum, and get their cases processed by the already overworked immigration courts. They’ll probably be heard sometime in 2024.

    Nice dodge.

The fact is that you don't want to put a number on it, you want complete open borders.

Perhaps if the US and the CIA hadn't spent the last 50 years destabilizing Central America, we wouldn't be facing this problem.

Oh, I am sure they would be bustling in productivity and better lifestyles without us. (Because whatever the Russians or those marxist ideologies put into place would have guaranteed great freedoms and opportunities.)
Not unlike all those African nations that demanded independence and black rule took over. (South Africa the latest "success")

I don't disagree. However, this is the end result of waging proxy wars, and American foreign policy in the region.

Yes, very easy to criticize America. But the one most successful is always criticized by those of greater need.

IOW, we are expected to always be the one to help out when there is a war or a natural disaster or a nation in our hemisphere dying. And if we do not, we are criticized for not helping. So do spare the historical record, no one is perfect, surely not the liberals in the USA these days.

You mean such as Eisenhower and later Kennedy did? Even Truman used the military to capture the steel industry when he was president.

We did a lot of good with our third party Tea Party. We got Trump elected for example.

I thought he ran as a republican? The TP is a faction of the GOP, and the GOP is not the TP.

He did. Many of us are. I do not recall trying to build a case that says the GOP is the tea party.

We grabbed a heavy part of the Republican ideology and boosted it to a more vital part of the discussion.

Many times I hit a theme of out of control big government and how the tax system is very flawed and should be a priority to be fixed.

We performed a role when we worked under Theodore Roosevelt to cause what became Panama to pull away from the then Colombia. No point in dodging ti since he wanted the Panama Canal.

So you think most of our illegal issues stem from Panamnians and Colombians?
