Oh spare us all no one is saying the government should have shut down her speech and no one tried to do so. What the First Amendment doesn't do however is inoculate you from the criticisms of the listeners and general public.

Did you actually read the transcript of her speech? If so, I would think that you wouldn't use the characterizations that you did. You don't think that she offered insight and advice? Read the text. Did you go to college? If so, the odds are that your graduation speaker did what 90 percent of graduation speakers did: speak of their own experience (ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE SPEAKING AT THEIR ALMA MATER), and what they took out of them, and share that with these graduating students. It's either that, or a completely generic "be the best you can be". The latter often do not go as well.

The entire Clinton lifestyle is built on selling influence and power, which is difficult, if they have none and do not appear to be pursuing any. So she or the daughter will appear now and then and pretend to be doing something until they figure out something else to sell.
