I don't think she is worried about the Senate convicting Trump. She knows they won't.
What she is looking for is public opinion to build up and then force the republican Senators to vote against the American people.

Evidence doesn't matter when it comes to impeachment. It's a political process, not criminal. The Republicans do not care what Trump did. All they care about is control of the white house. They will never vote to convict Trump under any circumstances and you can't remove Trump from office without 67 senators voting to covict. It won't happen.

 

Because there is no legal requirement for a vote to be held. The oversight committee can begin impeachment inquiries anytime it wants. It does not need permission or approval.

Except they didn't actually move to impeach until there was actual evidence supporting it. Republicans on the other hand have seen the evidence and will still refuse to remove him. Republicans would still refuse to impeach Trump even if there were evidence that he committed treason. They put party and control of government before country.

The evidence we've seen so far is that corrupt Bidens blackmailed Ukraine with aid money for their own financial benefit, that Democrat senators blackmailed Ukraine with aid money for political purposes, that the Dems and deep state are running one bogus witchhunt after another, that Schitt is lying, committing violations and breaking all the rules, that the whistleblower's report is nothing but lies and the whistleblower himself has committed multiple violations, so are his sources who are not covered by whistleblower protection.

Oh, lest we forget the evidence that Trump demanding Ukraine to deal with corruption and assist in an on-going DOJ investigation before disbursing half a billion dollars of taxpayers' money was doing his job.

Fine, but their subpoenas do not obligate the WH if the HOUSE has not voted on impeachment. It's the HOUSE that has impeachment power, not Pelosi and a handful of henchmen that run committees. Only six percent of voters in the key Midwestern swing state see impeachment as the most important issue, and a majority would vote to re-elect Donald Trump rather than vote for the two top Democratic candidates to replace him.

According to pollster Spencer Kimball, a third of Democrats in the state aren’t buying impeachment at all, and only one in ten think it’s a high priority:

 

I didn’t think it possible for the President to be removed from office but the odds certainly have increased in the last month.

I wonder if Trump will force their hand: refuse to resign. Nonetheless this is about self interest. I have a suspicion that Trump will so damage R’s prospects they would be better off to threaten a vote to remove and garner a resignation.

Trump’s in fight or flight mode meaning any brain he did have is not accessible: it’s going to get real ugly as more information comes to the forefront.

 

The problem with that is this..
What damages Democrats public image is their policies.

If Trump shot Bernie Sanders in the face and killed him he'd still be better for the country than any of the Democrats.

Only ONE VOTE is needed to hold an impeachment inquiry and that is the VOTE of the Speaker of the House. While she was voting NAY there was no inquiry. The moment she changed her vote the inquiry began.
