The NYT Editorial Board is usually more reserved but in writing about Trump's Foreign Policy they use words like 'dangerous', 'insane', 'unhinged' and 'shockingly ignorant'. The folks at the Washington Post also were less than complimentary when Jennifer Rubin called his remarks on foreign policy "incoherent"

There is growing concern that Trump simply doesn't know enough about the world to have a foreign policy that would keep America safe. Someone with his degree of ignorance could rely on experts but his level of hubris precludes that in my opinion, which makes him very reckless.

Please. Just please. I see nothing wrong with not letting your enemies know what you may or may not do in a given situation. Let me ask a question here and use a situation that conceivably could happen. What should the US response by if a suitcase nuke was set off in an American city by ISIS?

Reminds me of the media treatment of Reagan.

Comparing Trump to Reagan is a non-starter. Even liberals could respect Reagan while disagreeing with his positions.

Gotta stop comparing Trump to Reagan. One was charismatic and visionary and was able to work with opponents to get things done. He understood that a position relatively close to center was the place to be.

Trump isn't half the leader Reagan was on his worst day.

Nah, you don't remember 'Ronnie Raygun'? They treated him the same in the media. The dangerous lunatic with his hand on the button.

Oh give me a break. The NYT is an old washed up leftwing rag.
And yet, under the current leadership which the NYT approves and Hillary would continue, we have the CIA funding one side of war in Syria while the Pentagon funds another, and the two American backed contingents fight each other. Yet somehow the NYT can't quite label such as "incoherent".

Ahh the good old days, when the Left could use the NYT to shape national opinion. Now we all just laugh at you.

Here is the problem regarding ODL>Trumpf and what he knows or doesn't know about foreign policy. No person new to the task of being a candidate for POTUS who never held any public office or never served in the military as a high ranking officer should ever be expected to know much about foreign policy. Yet we expect that person to have enough moral fiber and respect for the office of POTUS to admit what he does not know and accept advise for consideration..
Trumpf who thinks that he already is Our.Dear. Leader is too arrogant and self centered that he will not admit that he needs to learn.

The other problem is that for those people who so stupidly think that just because the gaboomka Trumpf runs a business that it automatically renders him qualified to run country. Running a business should not automatically qualify or automatically disqualify a candidate from running for POTUS. look guys if a gaboomka wrecks a business he destroys the lives of the employees, any stockholders if relevant, and affects vendors who relied on that business.

If an arrogant S.O.B. destroys a country he could destroy the lives of multiple millions of people and the generations that follow.

That is why a candidates character is extremely important that is why I stopped supporting Trumpf and went back to supporting the best man for the job as of now .........John Kasich .

Not to mention that the New York Times endorsed Hillary Clinton and probably runs hit pieces on her opponents for free hoping to gain favours from her once she is in the oval office. The NYT has zero credibility these days.

I can NEVER support a candidate that would grant amnesty and Kasich will do just that. The Governor would send in troops here there and yon if you listen to what he says. Trump is no warmonger and would make the rest of the world step up in their own defense for a change.

I would also point out that the people writing columns for these publications are no more qualified to run the US foreign policy than any of you are. It also seems to be that the so called experts in charge of it now and in recent administrations have not done such a great job of it.

You might want to look into Syria's long history of military coups.

You are incorrect. Homeland Security says that a device is possible as small as 24 by 16 by 8 inches. More likely a device would be the size of two footlockers, easily moved around . A Soviet Backpack weapon existed in the 1960's man portable and with a 3 to 5 kt yield. The SADM US Mk 54 weighed 51 pounds and had a yield up to 6 kt.

If he says he would not even consider nuclear attack, he shows weakness, get it?

Didn't read thread. Thanks for the laugh. The NYT is the most consistently slanted and distorted left source in big name MSM, responsible for mountains of misinformation and disinformation over the years.

Lol Please, what are you talking about. Suitcase nuke? ISIS? There is no intelligence report citing that they have have come even close to obtaining a "suitcase" sized nuke. You are making up the craziest situations. And let's say they did, Trumps foreign policy plan is not going to work. Everyone thinks that foreign policy=terrorism policy. It is so much more than that; it embodies every policy that has to do with everything outside the Untied States. All Trump ever talks about when it comes to his foreign policy is 1.) Ban all Muslims until the government can figure out what is going on, 2.) Stop ISIS
    3) I will make great deals, I can work with everyone.

This is a plan a 6th grader would come up with.

No, thank you for the laugh. To laugh about an article you refuse to read and know nothing about, is definitely worth the laugh for the rest of us.

Right..... The establishment of both parties and the subservient media certainly know what they are doing and talking about. That must be why the country is overrun by illegals, the middle class is shrinking, the poor are getting poor, the debt has exceeded 20 trillion and growing and the country has completely lost trust and respect among friends and foes alike.

Trump has turned a million into billions and he has no idea what he is talking about. The elites have been turning the US into a failed state and the laughing stock of the planet, their policies and actions have failed spectacularly in every corner of the world and domestically....but they criticize Trump's views. Duh
