Trump's lethal aversion to reading

The orange clown, sure as hell wasn't reading those daily briefings?!! I wonder, can Trump even read or if he can, does he comprehend what he is reading?!! When they give Trump an intelligence briefing, they have to dumb down the information, due to Trump's short attention span?!!

Last month, The Washington Post reported that President Trump ignored "more than a dozen" intelligence briefings in January and February warning him of the coronavirus. They were in the President's Daily Brief, which the president doesn't read.

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro wrote a memo in January warning of "a full-blown coronavirus outbreak on U.S. soil." Trump said he didn't see it because "Peter sends a lot of memos," none of which he reads.

After failing to read about the coronavirus, Trump failed to respond to it. It's not a stretch to say that if the president read, thousands of lives might have been saved.

Trump's ghostwriter for The Art of the Deal, Tony Schwartz, speculated that Trump has never read a single book in his adult life, not even a book about him or "by" him, of which there are 17. Trump pretends to have written more books than he pretends to have read.

Do you realize your tax dollars were spent hiring a consultant to figure out how to deliver the briefings to Trump?

 

A massive amount of intelligence and other information is given to the White House. It is screened by staffers prior to being handed to the president. They are not all dumped on the president's desk for reading. Those particular documents may or may not have been put on his desk.

Trump was briefed on the virus in Presidential Daily Brief in January. However, house and senate members were given the same information at about the same time.

 

I think the Democrats are pushing the Chinese Democrat propaganda fed to them by the MSM china owns. The MSM will tow China's line to protect their access to Chinese markets.

 

You know... every time you progressive liberals criticize Trump like this you insult the millions that voted for him.

NYT is reporting the difficulties that Intelligence Agencies have had on getting Trump to pay attention at Intelligence briefings. They've even had to hire external consultants to find ways to hold his attention.

You're telling me that President Pelosi and President Schumer received the report, and they did nothing to prepare the country like starting the execution of the Obama instructive to deal with pandemics, or re-stocking the national emergency stockpile, or start coordinating with the CDC (which they responsible for) and other executive government institutions, or meeting with private businesses to coordinate the response or...any of the things executive officials like they are supposed to do?

Shocking! Where did they think the buck stopped?

 

What I am telling you is that none of these people were alarmed enough to say anything. Neither was the WHO or Dr Fauci or other countries. Hindsight is wonderful. Pelosi encouraged the Chinese Celebrations after Trump stopped travel from China.

 

The CDC and the Department of Health, which are the ones who would have known in January that this was something to be alarmed about are not part of Congress!!!!

Look... Your desperation to defend your idol not only exposes his incompetence more and more every time... but exposes your unfaltering loyalty to a human being as if He were a deity. And you could not have picked a worse human being to give that status to.

However I do admit that the ultimate underlying message that you are transmitting is actually very sensible: take all responsibility inherent to the presidency away from Trump. Because he's not qualified to have it.

 

The CDC and WHO should have been saying there was a problem. It is their job to make sure the appropriate people react. Apparently they did not. I don't know of any country which was out ahead of this.

I have set through a lot of daily intelligence briefings. The number of trouble spots on this globe is overwhelming. You can't react to each and every one of them and sometimes something slip through. And I am sure that thousands of people see these briefings every day. I might be concerned, if there was a reaction from someone else. This caught everyone off guard.

 

That's what I said. Everybody needs to do Trump's job. Because Trump can't handle it.

How many other presidents, prime ministers or other world leaders anticipated this problem? When you find several, let me know and then I will consider what you are saying worthwhile listening to. In short, no one anticipated this problem and certainly Joe Biden wouldn't have.

Reading them on his IPAD is not the same as being briefed in person. After all a living person can double check the recipient's comprehension. But then Barack was a notorious narcissist whom hated being corrected. One wonders just how much Barack Obama missed and got wrong? Apparently a huge amount of vitally important information. But . . . Orange Man Bad!

Which other president has the resources this one has at his disposal? The only resource Trump doesn't have at his disposal, and that others do, is a brain.
