There are various clean coal technologies.

One of them involves reacting coal at high temperatures with steam to make hydrogen, which then is used by a fuel cell to generate electric power. It's up to 40% more efficient than the conventional process of burning coal to create heat to run a steam turbine. Another advantage is it almost completely eliminates particulate emissions.

It might surprise you, but markets go up and down. This is a small up, but I'll say, it's not a bad thing. It's great that these businesses and those 2000 workers are benefiting, but to pretend that this is more than a small bump in a long consistent decline is either ignorant or obnoxious.

Coal is on the way out.

    Trump can't change that.

Again, the fluctuation in the coal industry we are currently seeing isn't unprecedented, in fact the gains in output and employment we saw in the years 2010 and 2011 were greater than the gains we are seeing in 2017 and 2018 (as demonstrated in the link which you yourself provided). Like the various gains we have seen in the past, the current rise in demand for coal is not expected to last very long, nor is it expected to revive the US coal industry. Just like the increases we saw in the past, the current increase is caused by a change in demand from the global market.

Lol...No, they said it shouldn't be done.
Forgetting about the environmental idiocy, featherbedding is a stupid economic strategy.

I had to look that up, Joe.

Featherbedding is the practice of hiring more workers than are needed to perform a given job, or to adopt work procedures which appear pointless, complex and time-consuming merely to employ additional workers. The term "make-work" is sometimes used as a synonym for featherbedding.

    Youre simply not even trying....

I gave you an easy opening to claim volcanoes are caused by global warming, and you blew it.

What kind of idiot would claim volcanos are caused by global warming? I was simply pointing out your terrible use of logic.

It might surprise you, but coal went down under Obama and up under Trump.
