By virtually any measure Trump will lose

His real problem is not his support but that those who are against him really hate his guts. It is very unlikely he will win them over to vote for him. His base is not helping in this. Ever since he was appointed the presidency his base have gleefully been trolling everyone who dares to criticise Trump further alienating potential voters

The question is not weather Trump can get more voters, but if the left can coalesce the moderates with the far left progressives. The moderates don't want to vote for the socialists like Warren, Sanders, Harris or any of those who follow AOC. The progressives don't want to vote for Biden. There is little in-between other than Tulsi, and she wont win the nomination. Trumps base will go out and vote, just like they did in 2016.

His problem is from folks from foreign countries that could care less or hate this country meddling in our elections . Instead of the fbi spying on incoming administrations , they should focus on these foreign meddlers. People dont meddle in other countries affairs for no reason. There must be some kind of reward or payment.

    Don't bet on it.
In the US, the incumbent has a greater advantage in an election, and you know trump will fling any piece of lying bullshit that he can to win, so it's possible for him to win. Even more so if the election mechanisms have been compromised by the Russians or the mafia to help him turn a few select precincts.
If we had an intelligent, committed electorate, I could see a 50 state sweep against him, but then, he would have never been elected in the first place.
My concern is what he will do if he loses.
He may choose to tear the country apart if he can't get any more mileage from his position.
Trump is essentially anti-American. He has a grudge to nurse against everyone who shunned him in the past, from the banks to the general population, who regarded him as an affable but shady buffoon.
He is likely compromised by the Russians, who began to lend him money after the US banks refused.
And he is also likely aided (and compromised) by the mafia, with whom he has had close ties for decades.
His only motivation is self-centered and he really cares nothing about the people or the country he serves.
His supporters are the classical definition of useful idiots. Hillary had them pegged.
I hope for a positive result in the elections next year, but I am worried about the evil nature of the forces that trump has allied himself with.

The status of the economy will go a long way to determining the winner. I cannot see the electorate voting out the incumbent unless we are in a recession.

    And this is my point

The very antagonistic attitude of many supporters are doing nothing to grow his base

Flip that around, and look at the lunatics screeching at red hats.

You think that sort of antagonism is shrinking Trump's base?

Or when the left hopes and prays for a recession or keeping on calling white men racist. Or calling black conservatives "boot lickers" and race traitors.

That's why I don't mess with Google. DuckDuckGo.com for unadulterated searches. No wonder you are wrong about so much.

If liberals believed that, they wouldn't be working so damned hard to remove Trump from office. It appears that the very last thing they want is another election..... even with google manipulating reality to the best of their ability.

People should watch more of the gaming channels on youtube. The younger generation of gamers (who aren't all that political) absolutely LOATHE PC culture. The liberals pushing it are despised as much as the people that pushed for banning games/songs in 80s. This bodes well for Republicans in the future. The authoritarians of the left are meddling in the hobbies of millions of young people and are generating real animosity for themselves in the process.

It's not that the left is hoping and preying for a recession it's that the left chooses not to ignore all the indicators of one on the horizon and want action taken to minimize the effects. Trump's base ignore the signs just like they ignore global climate change and their voicing their ignorance imperils us all.

Trump will lose and lose massively. A quick review of 2018 results provides some answers. The opposition, if at all wise (debatable), will simply let Trump run loose and create all the chaos he wants. Voters are already exhausted with Trump's chaotic, irrational, behavior and pathological lying. Just let him go, he will implode on his own.

This is one of the reasons he will lose support

He is losing support among the business community

Right, like when they stated that when he was inauguration, the stocks would plummet, that was "just reading the signs" right? Reading the signs is when the right says backing the housing market with government backed loans would cause a bubble. Reading the signs is when you say the exact same thing about government backing student loans. The left has hoped and prayed for something to oust Trump from the night it was declared he won.

But they love his economy and foreign policy. Its why dems are urging blacks to not focus on being enriched by Trumps policies and to believe the fake news of "racism".

A majority of Americans think a recession will strike in the next year
    — and they're blaming Trump's trade war

    September 10, 2019
    https://www.stamfordadvocate.com/te...Americans-think-a-recession-will-14428080.php
    Trump's approval/disapproval numbers stink relentlessly: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/?ex_cid=rrpromo

The disastrous consequences of his "easy to win!" trade war should finish him off, but he'll be whining like the big cry baby he is for long after - especially after losing his desperately-needed legal immunity.
