The Washington Post reported, "Trump’s relationship with the American business community suffered a major setback on Wednesday as the president was forced to shut down his major business advisory councils after corporate leaders repudiated his comments on the violence in Charlottesville this weekend."

The Post continued, "Trump announced the disbanding of the two councils — the Strategy & Policy Forum and the Manufacturing Council, which hosted many of the top corporate leaders in America — amid a growing uproar by chief executives furious over Trump's decision to equate the actions of white supremacists and protesters in remarks he made at Tuesday at Trump Tower."

Trump can be a funny guy sometimes. Those groups had already decided to disband. JP Morgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon, a member of the Strategy & Policy Forum, told employees in a note on Wednesday that his group decided to disband following Trump's news conference on Tuesday.

“Constructive economic and regulatory policies are not enough and will not matter if we do not address the divisions in our country,” Dimon said. “It is a leader’s role, in business or government, to bring people together, not tear them apart."

Republican lawmakers, the RNC, business leaders, even Trump's generals are abandoning him. The chiefs of all four U.S. military services—Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines—have issued statements this week condemning racism in all its forms. This can only be seen as a rebuke of their Commander-in-Chief.

All that is left is Trump's rapidly dwindling base of anarchists, bigots, and malcontent blue collar workers who want only to destroy Washington. Drain the swamp is their cry!

There was no violence in Charlottesville? How was Mars? You must have just gotten back.

Are you naturally dense or do you have to work at it?

On Saturday, Trump issued a statement blaming both sides for the violence in Charlottesville despite the fact that heavily armed members of the KKK, white supremacists groups, alt-right white nationalists, and neo-Nazis virtually invaded the town. His comments created an uproar, and he was attacked from all sides, including members of his own party. Even his family disagreed with him.

Three days after the protests by the right wing extremists began, on Monday Trump read a prepared statement blaming the KKK, white supremacists, and neo-Nazis. They were not his words, but the words of an unknown speechwriter because what he was saying was not what he felt.

Even though he was very late with the carefully crafted remarks, criticism died down and only liberals were still complaining. His supporters could say, yeah, he was late, but he said the right things ... finally. It should have ended there.

A normal person would let it go, but not Donald J. Trump. His arrogant, narcissistic, paranoid persona could not forget the two days of abuse where it seemed everyone around him were saying he was wrong. On Tuesday he lashed out with an unscripted rant, saying he really didn't mean what he said Monday. He reverted back to Saturday's statement. Once again he blamed the townspeople defending their city as much as the heavily armed extremists for the carnage in Charlottesville.

Now he lost everyone. In addition to Democrats, members of his own party vilified him. Business leaders left his councils in droves, and he was forced to disband them even though they were disbanding themselves. His top economic advisor, Gary Cohn, differed with him in the strongest terms. Cohn is Jewish. The chiefs of staff never get involved in politics. They did after Trump's rant, sharply differing with his views on Charlottesville.

Because of his uncontrolled arrogance and feelings of superiority, Trump thinks he can do anything he wants, say anything he wants. He is the President. He is the boss. In a way, he is right. What he fails to realize is that he really isn't the boss and there is a terrible price to pay for unwarranted and unwise statements and actions.

Why is that true? It is quite simple. Trump is not a well man.

If a thousand or more heavily armed right wing extremists marched into your town, I would suppose you would do nothing.

I was wrong about that. You would probably join them.

Trump said on Tuesday that before he makes a statement on an important matter he likes to "know the facts" and "be correct." On Thursday, he responded to the Barcelona terror attack by spreading a 20-year old debunked urban legend.

"Study what General Pershing of the United States did to terrorists when caught," Trump urged his 36.1 million Twitter followers. "There was no more Radical Islamic Terror for 35 years!" :roflol::roll:

There can be no more of a stronger indicator that Trump is losing it.

Now the White House will clamor he really didn't mean it. He was being sarcastic. He was joking. That sorry excuse wore itself out seven months ago. It was a lousy excuse when he was a candidate for President. As President, the excuse is further proof that he is incompetent.

The alt right is a loose network of individuals and groups that promote white identity and reject mainstream conservatism in favor of white nationalism. Bannon once proudly told a reporter at the 2016 Republican National Convention we’re the platform for the alt right.” In the same interview he denied that the alt right is inherently racist or anti-Semitic, although a vast majority of people affiliated with that movement hold racist and anti-Semitic views. Bannon has also been embraced by white supremacists for his views.

The lines are blurred between white nationalism and white supremacy. Many regard the two as meaning the same thing with "white nationalism" being the more polite term.

Now Bannon has come up with a new term, ethno-nationalism. Whatever that is, he is against it. “Ethno-nationalism — it’s losers. It’s a fringe element,” Bannon told the magazine. “I think the media plays it up too much, and we gotta help crush it, you know, eh, help crush it more.”

Putting matters into perspective, Trump's mantra, "America First" provides an excellent example of nationalism. Taking into account Trump's rant on Tuesday, whether or not Trump's views coincide with white nationalism is subject to introspection.

Bannon may be on the way out. He just undermined the President, chief of staff, NSA, SecDef, and the Pentagon's chiefs of staffs. “Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us.”

Maybe he wants to get fired. What does that schmuck know about the military? He was just a sailor.

Who is in more trouble now? Trump for his Tuesday rant or Bannon for his alt-right tendencies. My money is on Trump.

    Exactly.

If two people square off against each other, and scream insults until they both start exchanging blows, then both people are guilty of violence. "I hit him because he is a racist," is not a get out of jail free card. But the lunatic left thinks it is.

    This is our President speaking.

Not at all. I think the country — look, you take a look. I've created over a million jobs since I'm president. The country is booming, the stock market is setting records. We have the highest employment numbers we've ever had in the history of our country. We're doing record business. We have the highest levels of enthusiasm. So, the head of Wal-Mart, whom I know, who is a very nice guy, was making a political statement. I mean, I do it the same way. You know why? Because I want to make sure, when I make a statement that the statement is correct, and there was no way — there was no way of making a correct statement that early. I had to see the facts, unlike a lot of reporters — unlike a lot of reporters. I know, David Duke was there. I wanted to see the facts, and the facts as they started coming out were very well-stated. In fact, everybody said his statement was beautiful. If he would have made it sooner, that would have been good. I couldn't have made it sooner because I didn't know all of the facts. Frankly, people still don't know all of the facts. It was very important — excuse me, excuse me. It was very important to me to get the facts out and correctly, because if I would have made a fast statement — and the first statement was made without knowing much other than what we were seeing. The second statement was made with knowledge, with great knowledge. There's still things — excuse me, there's still things that people don't know. I want to make a statement with knowledge. I wanted to know the facts. Okay. :roflol::roll:

I think it is time for a review of what it is we are talking about. We seemed to have lost our way. Of course, Trump fans would just as soon forget what Trump said in Tuesday's rant ... or they agree with what Trump and they don't wish to publicize that.

Please look at this picture carefully. This is a group of white supremacists, members of KKK, and neo-Nazis marching on the campus of the U of V on Friday.

Now watch this video showing this heavily armed bunch marching down a street in Charlottesville the next day.

    https://twitter.com/_CraigStanley/status/896349016929206272

On Saturday, Trump blamed all sides for the violence in Charlottesville despite the invasion of heavily armed protesters. By not naming the true enemy, the President received condemnation from every quarter. Pressured by Republican leadership, his own advisors, even members of his own family, three days later Trump finally relented and named America's enemy.

"Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans," Trump said in a statement to reporters at the White House on Monday.

Today, he undid all of that. He told reporters he really didn't mean what he said Monday. He meant what he said on Saturday. That all sides were to blame for the carnage in Charlottesville despite the fact that most of the counter protesters were like Heather Heyer who was killed by a white supremacist. They were the home folks. They lived in Charlottesville and they resented the armed invasion of bigoted intruders.. Trump blamed them anyway.

At Trump Tower in Manhattan Trump angrily defended himself against criticism that he did not specifically condemn Nazi and white supremacist groups following the weekend’s deadly racial unrest in Virginia, and at one point questioned whether the movement to pull down statues of Confederate leaders would escalate to the desecration of George Washington.

“Many of those people were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee,” Mr. Trump said. “This week, it is Robert E. Lee and this week, Stonewall Jackson. Is it George Washington next? You have to ask yourself, where does it stop?” he said, noting that the first American President had owned slaves. Lee and Jackson fought for the Confederacy, a rebellion against our Constitution. This is Trump's idea of getting all the facts before commenting.

"I think there's blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it," Trump said. "You had a group on one side that was bad and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent," he added. "No one wants to say that, but I’ll say it right now: You had a group on the other side that came charging in without a permit and they were very, very violent.”

So, in Trump's view, the townspeople who were defending their city are as guilty as the heavily armed neo-Nazis, KKK, and white supremacists.

David Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan leader, praised Trump’s comments as a condemnation of “leftist terrorists.”

“Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth about #Charlottesville,”

Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Republican of Florida. “Back to relativism when dealing with KKK, Nazi sympathizers, white supremacists? Just no.”

One by one, Republicans distanced themselves over the weekend from Trump's comments that blamed both sides for the violence in Charlottesville, Va.

On Tuesday, they had to do it all over again.

Senator Mark Warner of Virginia said it best. "No words," he tweeted.

Trump isn't the only one who can rant. Steve Bannon did so in an article in The American Prospect, a progressive magazine. He was dismissed two days later.

With the dismissal of the alt-right spokesman from the White House, Bannon, there are times the Trump White House appears comical. Bannon joins a long list of Trump's inner circle who are now gone. Trump has been President for seven chaotic months.
But here is the fun part. Some of the Republican President's closest advisors are Democrats. :roflol:

They include Jared Kushner, his wife and Trump's Jewish daughter, Ivanka, Gary Cohn, Trump's economic adviser, and Steve Mnuchin, Trump's secretary of the treasury. Prior to joining the Trump campaign, Trump was a N.Y. Democrat. Prior to joining the Trump campaign, Manuchin contributed 11 donations to Republicans and 36 donations to Democrats. He supported the campaigns of Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and Barack Obama.

Three of Trump's closest advisors are apolitical. They are generals, chief of staff Kelly, SecDef Mattis, and NSA McMasters.

Is it any wonder Trump has declared war against Republicans and vice versa?

Yup, Trump can be a barrel of laughs sometimes.

Thank you for the entertainment. Maybe Jimmy Kimmel wants to hire you.

Kimmel was hired to have a comedy talk show. He is rabid in his hate of the president. When Obama messed up and had the cooties, Kimmel praised him.

Oh lucky us. A photo that we can all study.

So I studied it. Who was peaceful? Who put up the shields? Who had the clubs? (Those are antifa standing menacingly)

But as we all know, the riots did not start then or the media had nothing to report. So the photo in no way shows what AntiFA did. And that is deliberate.

    VERY deliberate.

What the arguments was all about is the way the cops violated the terms and conditions laid out to the group that had some Nazis. I wish the Nazis removed themselves from the debate but they also have the amendment protecting them. So they have rights.

So the people with the speakers arrived and found cops blocking them. Cops broke the law. I hope the judge punishes them.

Has the media honestly reported they did have the lawful permit to speak?

Who thinks Government ought to hand you speaking rights?

Digest that. Who wants cops telling you what you may say and club you if you do not obey them?

This is not about Trump. Trump as not at Charlotteville. But it is about the AntiFA who showed up willing to battle and showed it with clubs, black masks and garb and nt the Democrats feel good that they get support.

Robert, what the hell does Kimmel have to do with my comments?

Will you ever stay on topic? You obviously don't like my comments about Trump because of your blind loyalty to him, but it is interesting that you can never specifically challenged anything I say. That is because I speak the truth, and it is impossible to challenge the truth.

Robert, did you mean this photo.

You are severely misinformed. That is not antifa. That is a thousand or more heavily armed KKK, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists who invaded the campus of U of V Friday night. A very small number of antifa arrived the next day to help the townspeople defend their city. The vast majority of counter protesters were townspeople, townspeople like Heather Heyer who was murdered by a white supremacist. 16 other townspeople were injured the murderer.

Don't get me wrong. Antifa are thugs, too. I am not defending them, but they didn't invade the town. Heavily armed right wing fanatics did, and they are responsible for Charlottesville, not antifa.

Steve Bannon proclaimed himself as the spokesman of the alt-right, a euphemism for white nationalism and white supremacy. There is a direct correlation between his dismissal as Trump's chief strategist and Trump's bigoted rant on Tuesday.

Look carefully, because it's UVa and it's called the Grounds. If you want to find a Campus, you should go someplace else.

I can't see a single weapon. I do know that a former slave owner, Thomas Jefferson, is looking down from Monticello at his University.

    Do you see weapons now?

Chanting "blood and soil,” “white lives matter” and “you will not replace us,” scores of white nationalists holding torches marched across the University of Virginia campus in Charlottesville on Friday night.
