Everyone talks about health care. But no one mentions dentists. Without the ability to chew, your health declines. You need a few molars to be able to chew. But for a needed root canal to save a molar, the cost is in the thousands of dollars...for one tooth. Not to mention office visits, followups, or problems after the procedure...for one tooth. Humans have 32 teeth. The cost for a plumber is nothing compared to a Dentist.

you failed to point out that much of the $3.24 trillion was out of pocket payments, ergo the rise in taxes associated with 'medicare for all' would offset those 'out of pocket' payments, meaning the cost to these patients will remain relatively the same, why you say, because they are the current taxpayers and most of the newly 'insured' will remain jobless and/or on public assistance programs & the 'rich' don't pay taxes...

no one wins except those that have nothing will just get more free sh*t... as soon as uhc becomes a reality here, many will adjust their 1040's & schedule C's accordingly to reduce their tax liabilities even further than what they are now...

as for meds, one word... generics... stop buying into the 'newest' drugs, the oldies still work just fine, demand that your doctor fill your script with older brand name and then demand generic form of it from your pharmacist... stop listening to the tv commercials, the old diabetes drugs are effective and waaaaay cheaper, same for heart meds... heck, tell your doc to give you a script for 81mg aspirin and fill it at the pharmacy, .50 cents for 30 pills of generic aspirin...
