Now a war with Iran, based on inflated alarmist propaganda. The Defense Department said it killed Soleimani because he “was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.”. It also accused Soleimani of approving the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad earlier this week. Are we now killing people within their own sovereign countries, because of what we believe they are plotting against us? Does this raise any red flags regarding imperialist aggression? There is no way to justify the killing of the 2nd most powerful leader in Iran, through a cowardly Drone strike, unless you wanted to guarantee that a war would begin. I suppose the State's excuse is as rational as sampans attacking a destroyer(USS Maddox). This BS caused the death of over 3 Million people in Viet Nam(civilians, NVA/VC/AVN, and US and allied Armies, 1955-75). Without Tulsi(maybe Bernie), we will continue to be duped by self-serving corporate propaganda, even when the body-bags start piling up. Unfortunately, it WON'T be Trump's "America First" armchair nationalist's war mongering chicken hawks, who will be running down to the recruitment offices, begging for the opportunity to defend their country. So again, more young men and women will have to give their lives, so that these amoral profiteers can keep making ten's of Billions of dollars, to keep their stockholders happy. Corporatist, are only interested in controlling the oil in Syria(they are guarding now), the gas reserves in Iran(illegally occupied), and our military(by controlling the political narrative), just to increase their profit margin. If you are thinking about our Domestic issues, FORGET IT. There won't be any resources to address any of our social needs. So DON'T COMPLAIN.
