No she won't. I think her plan B is to go for VP.

Given the enthusiasm in this audience, she has a good chance of, at a minimum, get her message out.

Of course, someone with her personality, history, and, dare I say it, looks, could get any message out for a brief time. Marianne Williamson is getting a message out (I don't understand what it is, but I think you have had to live in California for a minimum period to be able to understand it).

The difference with Tulsi Gabbard is that her message corresponds to a powerful objective reality: namely, that the interests of the people of the United States, and the actions of their governments (Democratic or Republican) in the field of foreign policy, for the last three decades, are far out of alignment.

The US is like a doctor who successfully treated a common disease with a certain medicine for forty years, and then just carries on with the same treatment when that disease has vanished but a new one has appeared. We won the Cold War by radically altering the tradtional American approach to the world. And then we kept that altered approach: we destroyed Russian Communism using it, so why not radical Islam and related Third World infections? Why not Chinese Communism (despite the fact that they are Communist in name only)?

Major Gabbard is saying: time to try a new approach. And since she's right, her novel message is going to endure. It may not find expression in her achieving a national role. In fact, I hope it spreads far wider than that, especially into the base of the Republican Party, which is rotten ripe now for a foreign policy that does not send their children off to die abroad while the boys and girls of Yale and Harvard pursue their 'wokeness' and trendy 'socialism' and prepare for cushy jobs safe at home.

Believable as Hillary receiving the questions in advance is
Tulsi claiming MSNBC is fed "talking points" from the Harris Campaign.

Tulsi met with Assad for a good cause.
Trump met with "rocketman" for a good cause.
Neither is "news" nor worth wasting most of an interview session
unless the interviewer feels their message is more important than the candidate's.

News Media, Inc. has Tulsi in their "sights".
Lacking objectivity, but supporting Harris & Biden who get the soft questions.

I would support Trump or a Third Party before
I would vote for a Democratic Party candidate who was anointed
    months before the first primary.

While Democrats get crazier, Gabbard hits Harris criticism right on the nose.

As Gabbard pointed out, then California attorney general, Harris was responsible for putting "over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana."

Harris' office also blocked DNA evidence that could have freed a man who may be innocent. And what’s more, as Gabbard said, “She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California. And she fought to keep (the) cash bail system in place that impacts poor people in the worst kind of way.”

Harris defended a faked confession created by a Kern County prosecutor for the purpose of extracting a plea bargain, arguing that forging a confession shouldn’t count as “outrageous” conduct.

Gabbard is on solid ground with her criticism: Harris’ career as a prosecutor gives the lie to her current woke stance that she is someone with sympathy for the little guy. That’s a serious criticism. A rattled Harris claimed that Gabbard an apologist for Syrian dictator Bashar Assad — and cruelly mocked her low poll numbers — and bizarrely tried to link Gabbard to Russia.

This attempted diversion by Kamala fooled no one.

If you are anti-war you will be smeared by the ventriloquist dummies in the media and the majority in both parties . Being smeared by the WaPo is something to be proud.

Maybe someone can help me to understand, because I just don't get it. We have a candidate that is a two-time combat veteran, and still serving as a Major in the National Guard. A person who will stop the escalation of a Nuclear Arms Race. A person also serving as a congresswoman on the Foreign Service, Homeland Security, and Armed Services Committees for almost 7 years. A person that wants to end all regime change illegal wars, involving America. A person that wants to bring all of our soldiers home from countries all over the world. One country we have been in for almost 20 years. A person that wants to stop the millions of civilians, soldiers, and children from being killed by us, since 911. A person that wants to use the trillions of dollars wasted(4 Billion dollars/month in Iraq alone), and use this "war dividend" to address the social issues we have here at home. A person who exudes gravitas, attention, courage, authenticity, integrity, confidence, and intelligence, every time she opens her mouth. A person with a 38 year old brain, not the brain of a Grandpa, or a Grandma(you can't fight human physiology). Finally, a person that actually walks the talk)Standing Rock, Puerto Rico, fact-finding mission in Syria, Homestead Detention Center, and her consistency in legislations, passed and proposed).

What am I not seeing here? She exposes a foreign policy corporate status quo lackey(Tim Ryan), and a narcissistic, egocentric, sociopath(Kamala Harris), for what they are, and it is the messenger that is attacked. No rebuttals, just smears, lies, and slander. What is corporate media so afraid of to support these smear attacks? The truth about their bottom line? How can you ever justify calling a volunteer twice combat, still serving veteran, a "Russian-Bot, a Trojan Horse, or an Assad Apologist? No one called Nancy Pelosi an Assad Apologists, and she met with him twice. I would vote for anyone with just half these bonafides. Please, tell me what am I blinded to? Why are we putting our future in the hands of old men and women that have clearly shown their allegiance to corporate America, to maintain the status quo. Without stopping these endless illegal wars, these dog and pony shows, will only be a theatre of empty promises. They are not even trying to hide it anymore, because the public can no longer see the truth in front of their eyes anymore. Are people more interested in just winning, than in what they are winning?

Well, it looks like the DNC will finally get rid of Tulsi. She won't be on the Sept debate stage. Although she has 2-3% in 8 qualifying polls, they will simply choose only the polls where she is polling with less than 2%. This is how Corporate America protects itself from anyone that is a real threat to the status quo. Corporate America is allowing us to choose between two cognitively-challenged old men, to placate our fears, and to continue doing business as usual. We have only ourselves to blame. They will just keep getting richer, and we will still be fighting over the crumbs that they leave us. It looks like we ARE indeed ruled by the rich and powerful. Both in mind, and in spirit. God help us all, because real democracy is dead.

People who post on on-line forums are a very small sub-set of the general population, and not just numerically. Almost all of us keep up with politics and think of it as something we can and should have opinions on, and take part in. Most people don't. It takes something extraordinary to shift their thinking, which has huge momentum.

But it has to start somewhere. The Republican base, as Mr Trump proved, is not at all wedded to endless obscure wars fought by their children, and an economic arrangement that simply means the (liberal!) upper middle class get wealthier and wealthier while their income stagnates. They're not going to go for the Politically Correct scolds of the Open Borders Democratic mainstream, but ... remember they shifted fifty years ago from an increasingly radical Democratic Party, so anything is possible.

The politicians who are able to tap into this sentiment, post-Trump, will have a chance to change everything. Don't despair!!!

Harris isn't so street smart as she think she is.

Harris ignored that Gabbard was a southpaw and didn't see it coming until Gabbard hit her with a left hook.

Imagine for a moment that some time in the future Tulsi is the Democratic candidate for President, and the Republican candidate is a standard-issue business-as-usual, send-the-82nd-Airborne to support the Ghegs against the Tusks person.

Seeing her in this role seems mad now ... but do recall that for years and years and years Bernie Sanders was just an eccentric 'independent' socialist. Then, bang, he was a serious contender against slippery Hillary. The world does not stand still.

Voting for her for President doesn't mean you have to vote for a Democrat for Congress.

She will no doubt have a standard-Democrat program, passed at their convention. She won't be able to denounce it, but ... she will not be bound to it. We will have to read between the lines, so to speak, to see what she is really concerned with, and what she just pays lip-service to. (Hey, we're used to Republican candidates sounding very conservative on the campaign trail, and then changing their colors once in Congress. Well, it can go the other way as well.)

As for her domestic social/economic program. If you are a hardcore libertarian in your economics -- well, you will have been terribly disappointed in President Trump. But then, you will have been terribly disappointed in every single Republican president since Eisenhower. The old-school Republican response to FDR's New Deal was to see it as the end of the world, communism's foot in the door, the fall of civilization. All I can say is, God, how I wish we had the America of John F Kennedy back ... I could live with that! And remember, over-regulation, a domestic program that turns out not to deliver, can be undone. Look at the so-called Clinton Welfare Reforms, or Reagan's de-regulation of the transportation industry. But a war can't be undone.

The really tricky part will be appointments to the Supreme Court. You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you can get some of what you want. If she's smart she will signal that if she makes any appointments, they will be very Constitutional liberals -- look, they've GOT to be liberals -- ones that Republicans can support, if reluctantly. I remember how my liberal friends were rather relieved when Bush nominated John Roberts. They could live with him. And they weren't wrong.

We cannot let the best be the enemy of the good.

I totally agree with you, and hope you are right. The problem is, that unchecked corruption will just continue to grow. People are now too complacent, distracted, cynical, or apathetic to it. It is now being openly flaunted in our faces, and we just ignore it. As the years go by this will only get worse not better. We have become a nation of followers, with corporate America, as the wizard behind the curtain pulling all the strings. If we can't discern between a Rembrandt and a cartoon strip anymore, then we are doomed to keep repeating our disappointments over and over again. I've been around a long time, and can see the clear disingenuousness and pandering by most of these corporate-bought democratic candidates. We oldies just don't understand why others can't see just how phony and silly most of these candidates are.

We knew that Tulsi's message and bona fides, are a once in a lifetime find. We knew that her message was the most practical, and do-able of any solution. We knew exactly would suffer if she was allowed to get to the debate stage. We knew that her message would open eyes all over the country. And, we new that corporate America, and the DNC would do anything to derail her campaign. We oldies were right. In the first debate her messages resonated as the most searched candidate in most states and in many polls, and the destruction of Tim Ryan. In the second she was again the most searched candidate in ALL states, and the destruction of Kamala Harris. She was now a real threat to the status quo. Even Google stepped in to suspend her Google accounts for 6 hrs. As long as she can get her message to the millions(not the hundreds), she will be heard. She would expose the real reasons we need to keep going to war, and draining our resources. She would expose our deals with Saudi Arabia and Israel. She would expose the real reason we can't address any of our domestic issues. She would expose the true power of Corporate America. She would give back the power to the people. Maybe this generation is so use to disappointments, that they just don't care anymore. Until it is too late.

My problem is that I knew that anyone hearing her would eventually see that her message alone, would make her electable. I knew after the debates she would be resonating. What I didn't count on, was the DNC rigging the choices. She got 12,000 individual unique donors within 24hrs. Over 160,000 donors total. She even polled 2-4% in 8 YouGov and other DNC qualifying pollsters. Here's how the rigging starts. The DNC can choose which of the qualifying polls it wishes to count. Do you think it will choose any of the 8 qualifying polls that she has polled over 2%? This is the way they fill us with hope and promises, and still keep their corporate donors happy. What is amazing, is that this is done in the open. Not only do we not care anymore, but we even make excuses for their actions. As long as the DNC is controlled by Corporate America(money), no grass-roots candidate will ever have a chance. Maybe Tulsi had the wrong strategy. She should have lied and pandered to the masses like the rest(except Bernie), and then changed when it was too late to discredit her? I guess we do deserve the government that corporate America buys for us. This is no longer the America that I love anymore, or the people that once could think for themselves. Anyway, thanks for listening.

My real disappointment is with the people that voted Trump into office. He was able to exploit the underbelly of our sick and banal society, to become the king of thieves and bigots. As an obvious narcissistic sociopath with absolutely no empathy. He must be in Nirvana as the leader of the most powerful country on the planet. If Biden becomes our hope, then Trump will be back in for another 4 more years.

Our only focus here, should be to stop the wasteful regime change wars. Get back into both nuclear treaties, that this madman has walked away from. Lets just stop killing people, ruining lives, and trying to steal the resources from other countries. Lets just stop creating the refugee crisis's with crippling sanctions that effect only the poor, and then complain about them later. Lets just get out of our deal with Saudi Arabia and Israel. Lets just bring our soldiers home to contribute to our economy, and not drain from it. Lets just use this "war dividends" of savings, so we can realistically address our domestic/economic issues here at home. Why are these practical solutions ignored, and the messenger targeted?

If any real change is to occur in America, our foreign policy must be our highest priority. If not, we will again receive our fix on empty promises, and stay high until the next fix. It is sad, from my mature perspective, just how politically ignorant and apathetic this generation has become. If we can't see the truth in front of our faces, then maybe ignorance is truly bliss.

Did you know that George Soros, of the Left, and the Koch Brothers, of the Right, have joined together to form The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft?
    If not, check it out.
And don't despair ... things are changing... don't swallow the snobby liberal view of Trump's base as a bunch of hopeless yahoos. It's not true. #
No one knows the future, but things are changing in America. I'm not really optimistic, if I had to predict our future, but know can know for sure and we
have to do the best we can. Whatever happens in America, it will be much better if we can throw off the chains of empire.

Thank you. I did not know about this Institute https://www.vox.com/2019/7/1/20677441/soros-koch-end-interventionist-wars-military . At least, 2 out of the 607 Billionaires in the US is a start. But it is the people that really have the most powerful voices. I'm afraid, that those who support his Hitler-like rhetorical mindset, do represent everything America should not be(hateful, bigoted, xenophobic, violent, racist, segregationist, imperialistic and isolationistic). I agree that no one can know the future. But, you can sometimes make accurate predictions based on the accurate facts and historical consistencies. There is also a petition demanding that the Tulsi be allowed on the 3rd debate stage https://www.change.org/p/cnn-give-tulsi-gabbard-more-debate-talking-time , and the reasons why, . As long as there are Billionaires paying the salaries of Millionaires, and legalized bribery in politics, this will continue to be a country run by Oligarchs and Plutocrats. People are just too wrapped up in their own lives, to even see that they are being manipulated by the packaged smoke and mirrors, that they are being presented. They know more about their next door neighbours, enemies and friends, than they do about the candidate they want in charge of changing their lives.

Now Bernie is the next candidate targeted by Corporate America to smear and discredit. and . So yes it is a near certainty that Biden, Warren, and Harris will become the media darlings of the DNC. Eventually, only Biden will be the final nominee for the DNC. Just like it was with Hillary in 2016. The sad part is that Joe is no street fighter, and will appear weak in any debate with Trump. Hence, Trump will destroy the world in his 2nd term. Like Tulsi said, "It doesn't have to be this way.", and "This is not about me, it is about we".

This is another example of the lies the Government is feeding us to Demonize leaders they don't like.

I like Tulsi. I don't support her endeavor to become President but I respect the way she handled herself, not only with Kamala, but in general. I have never dismissed a Democrat out of hand. It's always after having looked into their histories that I find I don't care for their vision of what America is supposed to be. Tulsi is too much dove, not enough hawk for my taste.

Why is it, whenever I ask a non-Tulsi supporter why they are not backing her, they never give a specific or clear answer? They simply give vague, general, or non-specific answers. They always say, "she is unelectable", "I don't like her policies.", "republicans like her(tribal)", "Tulsi is dove on killing over a million people in illegal wars since 9/11.", "I really like her and her message, BUT.....". These are the same corporate soundbites that I've heard over and over again. It's as though we are being convinced that she is not a good candidate, and we don't know why. I mean, who would disagree with her regime-change policies, to stop bombing and sanctioning any country that refuses to cooperate with Corporate America? Who would disagree with NOT wasting our solder's lives, as pawns for the Saudi Prince(killed an American reporter, was flown out during 911)? Who would disagree with her wanting to stop wasting Trillions of dollars on illegal wars, and using the money to address the climate and other social issues here at home? Who could question the loyalty of a two-toured combat Major in the Army National Guard(calling her a traitor, an apologists, a Putin puppet, and an enemy sympathizer)? Who could question her integrity, based on the consistency of her legislation in congress? Other than her foreign policy position, her social policies are very similar to all the other candidates. This just doesn't make any sense to me. Why are people not supporting the only non-bought-and-paid-for candidate(not Sanders)? Why are people not supporting the winner and most Googled searched candidate in BOTH debates, and the only candidate that has exposed the true nature of other candidates(Ryan and Warren)? Without any need for disingenuous theatrics or kidology. So why? Her message is simple, correct, and obvious. So Why?

Then I found out why. Here's a test, just type in "who went with Tulsi Gabbard to Syria, and her meeting with Assad?". The 1st page is headlined with smears and lies, because studies show that 95% of the people, never go past the first web page. Now type in, "What is Tulsi Gabbards views on LGBTQ?". More smears, insinuations, and apologies. Now type in, "Who is Tulsi Gabbard?". Choose any unofficial site, and she will be smeared with the same Assad references, LGBTQ references, socialism references, and Putin references. They know that just by repeating the same debunked smears, eventually the association will also stick. Now I understand HOW corporate America is doing it. The why was already obvious. Once we are taught to ignore the facts, the rest is easy.

Just ask yourself the question, which industries will lose the most, if these wasteful wars are stopped? I definitely don't agree that Tulsi would loose to Trump. That would be impossible. Especially after their first debate. Just imagine, a 38 year old combat Major, arguing with a 73 year old narcissistic sociopath, in cognitive decline. The contrast would be so obvious, that she could be the first candidate that could win all 50 states. Why do you think Corporate America, the mainstream media, and the DNC, are doing all they can to make sure that she never makes it to that debate stage? They couldn't stop the number of individual donors, from supporting her. But they could pick only ONE of the 23 polls she polled 2% or more. This strategy is not new. Just ask what happen to Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, Phil Donahue, Jesse Ventura, and many others that dared challenged the Status quo?

Maybe we are just doomed to eventually annihilate our own species, driven by profit, greed, and socialite wannabes. She is the real deal, and I guess we are just too stupid to see it. Please stop listening to mainstream media, or TYT. Stick with her official sites(Twitter, Facebook, official Websites), and independent/progressive news sites(M. Tracey, Kim Iversen, Hard Lens News, Jimmy Dore Show, New progressive Voice, The Radical Independent, Niko House, TBTV, and others). These media outlets are not controlled or funded by the 6 corporations that own all the mainstream news and radio information you see and listen to. This is the curse of the power of information, not the strength of our Democracy.

This is what a true President should look like. You can see WHY she is so dangerous to corporate America. They will stop at nothing to keep this type of person out of the political arena. I've just learned that she has reached 2% on a CNN poll. Just two more to go. What do you think the odds are of that happening?
