By closing the straits, the megalomaniac sitting in Ankara has blockaded Russia. Russia's container ships are waiting to go through the Bosporus, but only Turkish ships are being allowed through.

Turkey has a right to do this according to the Montreaux Treaty if it fears aggression, or if it is in a state of war with Russia. So what is it, does it fear aggression or is it in a state of war?

According to Nato, they will support a nation if it is attacked, but Turkey was not attacked, it attacked Russia. I hope they remember this before Turkey drags the world into war.

Today Pres. Putin has deployed 150,000 troops and equipment into Syria, as well as 7,000 Russian Troops, tanks, rocket launchers and artillery, to the Russian Border of Turkey at Armenia, with orders to be “fully combat ready.”

This latest development of blockading Russian naval vessels is a massive and terrifyingly dangerous development. Blockading Russia and preventing its Black Sea fleet from traveling to the rest of the world, or back to its home port, is something that will not sit well with the Russians.

Time for some Russian, Gun Boat diplomacy.
Freely announce they are sending a cargo ship through with a destroyer escort.
    See who blinks!

Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic,
regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.

I just gave the link. They took it from Sputnik, but I think this has been going on for a couple of days. From what I read Putin gave a second warning.

It appears to me like NATO is deliberately trying to provoke a war with Russia.

The recent blockade is preventing Russian naval vessels from traveling in the Black Sea to Syria. The Russian Black Sea fleet has been a key component to Russian operations in the war-torn country, primarily operating out of the Syrian port of Tartus. Without access to the Turkish Straits, Russian attempts to increase force projection in Syria or resupply the units in the country will be extremely limited.

    Gun Boat diplomacy!
Blockading Russia is an act of War.
Like shooting down a Russian jet trying to target ISIS oil going to Turkey.

try a search. Lots of links

I posted about Russian ships being delayed a couple of days ago. This seems more alarming. Is it the same event being hyped?

I asked for a link because there wasn't one.

Slight correction. The U.S foreign policy makers are trying to start war with Russia. There is an alliance between neocons and Brzezinski. Brzezinski is directing Obama's foreign policies. He always wanted an alliance between the USA and so called 'political Islam'. Hence absolute mess in the Middle East. Washington D.C lunatics want to spread chaos to Central Asia. The idea is to use radical Sunni groups to advance the U.S geostrategic goals.

Strange, no word of it from Iranian, Russian, Turkish, Israeli, Egyptian, Indian, Aisian, or any other media or intelligence service such as Janes or Stratfor. Just crap sites like Infowars, Globalresearch etc where it's running like wildfire.

Well from all the religious prophecies I know, WWIII will start when Turkey closes the straits to Russia. Actually though the war started in 2012.

I think the Nato fools feel that by closing the straits, Russia will be pressured to meet with Erdogan. Talk about dumb and dumber.

Just because Germany bowed to their wishes, ( no doubt to please Washington), and gave billions to Erdogan to stop sending over migrants, that Russia is just as much a fool.

Why does this remind me of Chamberlain and Hitler?

They would not provoke Russia to this extent, closing the straits would be an irrational aggressive move, which would be seen as a first step to open conflict.

You need to remember that Saddam was clandestinely given the green light to enter Kuwait by the USA and the whole hell broke lose. I wouldn't be surprised if some not particularly bright people in Washington D.C try to manipulate Erdogan in doing something stupid. I'm almost certain that the Turks were told to shot the plane down by someone from Washington D.C.

Maybe so, but I doubt even such people would risk direct war with Russia. Unless they are insane, and forgot about MAD.

Hardly. And even if this proof didn't exist the day after the invasion which occurred a week later the UNSC demanded Iraq leave and the US began airlifting troops. Hardly the action of somebody who gave a 'green light.'

Erdogan is irrational. It seems now that he got away with the lies about shooting the plane down, and getting paid by Merkel for flooding Europe with migrants, that his head has blown up even more so. I think he and his side kick are starting to feel invincible.

Today in response to Merkel's 3 1/2 billion bribe to stop the human traffickers, Turkey sent even more migrants...even though the morgue in Lesvos is packed with drowned children. And to prove they can do whatever they want, six Turkish fighter jets were making maneuvers over Greek islands until they were chased away by the Greek ones.

I heard it was the U.S. that aided Hitler to power, which set up WW II, which led to what the U.S. really wanted ... a Cold War with Russia.

Time to kick Turkey out of NATO.

I've been sick of Turkey since last Friday.

Turkey was in its full rights to shoot down that bomber. It was attacking ethnic Turks. Protecting ethnic Russians has been Russia's excuse for attacking its neighbors for decades. Just look at the Ukraine. So by Russia's on standards they MUST agree with Turkey.
