    Motive at this moment (Saturday afternoon, 5:30 CDT) is unknown.

    This will be more fodder for the anti-self-defense mob, and then it will be forgotten in two weeks, like El Paso and Dayton already are.

    OK, everybody just go back to having Labor Day weekend fun, eating your barbeque, and getting drunk.... Until we do get weapons totally OUT of the hands of "criminals and crazies", we'll just go on getting more and more of this... and make no mistake -- I am 100% in support of the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. These days, you NEED to be able to defend yourself from these creatures.

    Some people are sick, others are plain evil. A quick and well publicized death penalty for people like this would send a strong message.

    "They are shooting at random,” Midland Mayor Jerry Morales told The New York Times. “We have two fatalities and up to 20 injuries." He added that at least two gunmen were believed to be targeting motorists on Interstate 20 and Highway 191 between Midland and neighboring Odessa.


    The City of Midland told CBS7 that a suspect has been taken into custody at a local movie theater. Earlier, the Midland Police Department said it believed there are two shooters in two separate vehicles. One suspect is said to be driving a gold or white small Toyota truck, while the other suspect is driving a U.S. Postal Service van.

    "There are reports of an active shooter at the Home Depot in Odessa. For the safety of the public and law enforcement please stay away from the area and stay in your homes," the department posted on Facebook. "We will update with more information as soon as possible."

    Give them a trial, and if they are found guilty, then EXECUTE them, and do it within a matter of weeks -- not fifteen or twenty f*cking years, like it is done now.

    All executions should be done publicly, with full coverage on TV and the internet. Executions should be convincing, brutal, and horrible to watch -- like taking the criminal and sticking him in a TRASH COMPACTOR, set to the slowest speed possible.... Maybe THAT would make these creep bastards think twice before just going out and killing people....

    Face it, for better or worse you will never get rid of guns. Now if you lived on the area would you feel a little better if this shooter was driving down your street and you were able to defend yourself?

    They're also saying separate shootings occurred in Odessa and Midland, 10 shot in one, 20 in the other. One shooter confirmed dead in shootout with police at a theater.

    How about a "Real American Gladiator" show on pay per view? Two men enter one man leaves. He lives to fight another day, the Government takes the book on betting with all money raised going to keep the prison system funded tax free. Kind of like the movie "Running Man".

    I've been saying the same thing for years. Executions, especially for gang bangers, would be good deterrents if people knew and remembered the guy. By the time we execute someone no one remembers who s/he is. Execute the murderers while his friends, neighbors and gang banging associates still remember them is something I strongly suggest we do ASAP.

    Police report 5 dead and 21 wounded including 3 police officers.Police described the shooter, who was shot and killed by police, as mid 30's white male,they have yet to release his identity.

    4 of the most dangerous cities in the world, repeat: the world, are St Louis, New Orleans, Baltimore and Detroit. Not making the list is Chicago where they had 341 murders and a total of 1,857 people shot so far this year. Texas has a murder rate of 5.8%, Illinois is sitting at 9.0%, Maryland is at 10.2%.

    Nothing says blood like democrat leadership.
