Yes, and Qur'an 9:29 says to force HereWeGoAgain to live as a second-class citizen, being forced to pay the unfair religious-based tax called the "jizya". Yes, the Qur'an calls for taxes based on which RELIGION one is. Imagine if I myself said "we should charge Modern Secular Humanists like me a DIFFERENT tax than be charge the Muslims!"....could you imagine how barbaric that would be!?

 

The difference is that Obama was talking about the real danger of ISIS whereas Trump was slandering all Muslims just as he has slandered Mexicans and those who live in African nations.

 

The problem is that virtually NO Muslims will condemn the very same verses that ISIS uses (from the Islamic texts) - I've tried many many times - but Muslims won't do it. So Muslims stand in the way of ending the Jihad.

 

There is a huge difference between Islam and Islamism. There are a lot of Muslims living in the Phoenix area now, and the ones I have interacted with are nice people, just as are 98 percent of the Mexicans.

I lived in a mainly Muslim area when I was studying in France, and I used to chat with the older Arabic men at the bus stop in the morning. They were much more open to a casual chat than were most of the French people and they were more tolerant of my limited abilities in French.

I don't know which Muslims you've talked to, but most of the ones I've talked to are Muslim in name only and have no idea what's in the Koran and don't care to know, just as I am happily ignorant of most of what's in the Bible. When I travel in Europe, I meet lots of tourists from North Africa, and they are almost all very secular and wouldn't know what the inside of a mosque looks like. No, they are not Trump fans, but neither are most Americans.

I deal with a scores of Muslims, mostly Muslims in name only, just as most Americans are Christian in name only. We've had long conversations. I went to the university with Muslims in France.My project partner in a journalism course was a Muslim woman from Kuwait. I found talking to her no different than talking to anyone else. She did keep her hair covered, but she also wore indecently tight jeans.

Very few Muslims in Europe or the USA give a hang about Mohammad, just as to me Jesus is just some figure from an old legend. If you don't know that, you must not have extended conversations with many Muslims.

Huh? If I am a Christian, that would explain why I don't give a hang about the Bible? Does that really make sense to you? Don't you think that the fact that I don't care about the Bible might indicate that I am an atheist?

 

You talk about the weather with Muslims, I however talk about the barbaric verses in their Qur'an - like I've said, ask them a question such as "was Mohammad immoral to approve of his troops raping captured infidel women, and to make slaves out of them?" Go ahead, ask them. You are in for a very very rude awakening, my friend. I'm going to open your eyes.

Hehe, yes, you make a point, but my point was that many many Christians are Christians simply because they DON'T understand the Bible very much. If you're an atheist, then PROBABLY you're (but no guarantee) a better person than most Christians are - since Christians apparently lack the courage to remove the parts of the Bible (that they give their impressionable young children, no less!) that say to kill gays, and that god/Jesus won't even let ethical gays into heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9-10.) So god/Jesus set up a barbaric system where ALL gays, just acting on the way that god made them, get burned alive in a "lake of fire", per the Bible. You seem like a better person than they are.
