The "remainer's" suffered greatly from the curse of Hugh Grant.

It's called extreme consolidation and it was supposed to bring the world government bootheel down on the throat of every person.

Apparently Corbyn told Bernie Sanders he based his campaign on Bernies.

Considering how conservatives gutted NHS I hope people who voted for Johnson bear the brunt of the cuts.

What you do not get, Europe is glad, that the UK has finally a government with a stable government.
Now everybody can get serious about the Brexit. January 31 2020.
But lets see how Johnson new government will look like.
Who is going to be part of the crew, the hard Brexit, or the moderate to soft Brexit.
Than lets see how the trade agreement negotiations go in 2020. Will 11 month be enough.
It will not be a Norway or Suisse deal.

Trump has to keep his sharpy caped and he might end up being rather disappointed with Johnson.

They may or may not it depends what the final EU deal is.
How tight will the UK be connected to the EU in the final agreement and what the stipulation will be.
The only thing that have been decided is the election. I am pleased that the domestic mess that Cameron and May created is over, I am pleased that Corbyn and his 70s socialist ideas got his sorry arse kicked.

I doubt that Johnson cabinet will be full of hardliners, concerning Brexit, but we will see coming week.

If I get a job offer in Canada, I have a passport to get there. What's the big deal?

A passport to go there is not the same as moving there.
UK citizens just lost that level of freedom.

    Exactly.
I can not understand that folks in the US do not understand that. Its 50 states, all of them have their constitution which are than reigned in by the US constitution. They all have their own supreme court, which is than controlled by the US supreme court and so on and so on and they fiercely defend that system.
But if something like this is built some were else it is evil, the horror, world government, commis, super state and what ever.
    Evil.
It is built by sovereign countries, no war, mutual agreement, peaceful, difficult, complicated and nobody knows if it will ever happen.

At least any of those countries can leave, without war, all they have to do invoke the article. No state in the US can do that.

Seems part of it is the UK wanted back from Brussels total control of their borders.

I'd love to have been a fly on that particular wall when this conversation happened, considering the rampant Anti-Semitism in the Labour Party. If that really happened, I'm sure Bernie was a bit nonplussed by that confession.

I think the Britts 'woke' to the reality of centralized power, it becomes voracious. The British People had a front row seat to the EU's inexorable suck toward dominion.

    I agree with them.

Even with the EU in place, are you saying people could just up and move to another country permanently?

Hopefully the rumors that James Corden is going to do his Boris Johnson impression (again tonight) on SNL are true.

Yes, it isn’t as easy as moving between US states but significantly easier than moving to another country and must be facilitated by the host country.

Why do you agree with them?

I believe they could have negotiated that separately if that was the major issue.

Because I believe in cultural values and the inherent right of various people to retain these.

It's the same reason that I think States should have more power than the federal government, creating an environment where people can live in areas surrounded by people with like interests and beliefs.

By consolidating people around a central body, people forgo nationalism which I think is important.
