Look! A metaphor for President Blowhard's pathetic presidency! It's like Trump's agenda getting plowed into by his own incompetence. How fitting.

Yes, it is also tragic that 7 sailors may have been killed in this incident, but it's also tragic that the lives of so many Americans are being destroyed by the buffoon in the White House. It helps to look up from what you're doing every now and then so you can see the giant container ship coming right at you.

Maritime collisions happen every so often so. But I guess in the liberal idiocy it's Trump's fault

If this ends up being considered an accident and not an 'attack by terrorists' then trump won't be considered at fault but the commander of his navy ship probably will. The international rules of the road for ships dictates the vessel on the right has the right of way and the damage appears to clearly support that the navy ship failed to yield. Either way the navy captain might as well start looking for another career.

Saw that footage of the ship. It definitely took a hit. A lot of heads are going to roll over this one.

If it's Trump's fault why is it named after a Kennedy?

C'mon man. Seven of our men could be dead and you are using this to attack Trump? I don't like the guy either, but damn.

    Hope they find those sailors.

Yeah, this isn't attack on Trump(or Liberals) time. This is, hope they find those sailors time. Part of the reason we're the greatest country on earth is that we take care of our own damnnit. At the end of the day, regardless of R/D if a foreign army comes to invade land, I'll stick by your side. That's the American way.

Not likely at this point if they haven't already, at least not alive. Wouldn't be surprised if the remains are crushed inside the ship.

Wow, so innocent sailors dying is only an after thought to this poster. To him, the lead is Trump....what exactly? Trump can't drive navy ships...or...something? Could you possibly be more of a stereotypical leftist, than to disregard the loss of human life, so you can take a lame cheap shot at your political opponent? You don't find it just a tad disgusting, to stand on the corpses of heroes, so you can get a better angle for your crazed megaphone speech?

A friend's son is on this ship. Thankfully he was finally able to contact his mom and is okay. But they are asking for prayers for all of the crew.

With all the latest radar detection and human look-outs, how the hell can you not see a container ship twice as big as you are coming? :eyepopping:

What, you're saying that if President Trump had looked up from his desk in the Oval Office he'd have seen the container ship coming? Obviously you're not saying that, so I guess this must be the most surreal anti-Trump rant I've read so far.

Oh you mean like the USS Cole that had a hole blown through it by Al Qaeda during the Clinton Administration?

Yeah that was Clinton's fault. Just like 9-11 and the first Twin Towers bombing in 93.

I saw this and couldn't help wondering if it was a veiled Islamic attack.

If so, Islam has taken one more step away from the willingness of the industrialized world to use its adherents in sensitive and responsible positions.

Didnt someone once say "every now and then the world needs a war"?

Perhaps it was said to refer to bad attitudes like the OP.? That without war we humans get complacent about human life. Some humans so far detached from hardship war brings, the sacrifice and the horror.

Dear OP, have some respect or join the Navy and replace a missing hero.!!

...do they really? I'm struggling to remember the last time a destroyer got in a collision where multiple sailors were injured or possibly killed.

The argument on why this should result in a partial condemnation of Trump is his lack of willingness, ability, or effort to appoint key people in the administration.

Agreed and I hope as well that the sailors are found but I fear they are trapped in the flooded berthing compartments.
