Ok. The number of the casualties is the last number to withdraw. So don't expect it to go down soon.

This said, the United States are doing all wrong.

As an operator of the sector I would suggest to Americans to wear a mask, to keep the distance and to often sanitize hands.

But are they really death coronavirus deaths?

A person testing positive for coronavirus and then dying does not mean that the cause of death, or the primary cause of death, was coronavirus.

For instance, old people close to death's door, doesn't take much to push them over the edge, maybe a severe cold or a bad flu, their body can't handle it, they die.

And in addition to that, some of these coronaviruses are pretty common and have been around for a long time, and are not the new coronavirus.
There there is also a question of how specific these tests are.

 

And how many people die every year?
Statistically, some of them are going to have coronavirus before they die. That does not mean it was the cause of their death.

Respiratory difficulty is pretty common in the population that is about to die. So they perform the test, and a small fraction of them test positive.
