U.S. Supreme Court Ruling: ATHEISM IS RELIGION

Still shaking my head at why people take the Supreme Court seriously. Sure, it exists...it makes 'decisions' that impact our society (particularly favoring corporations & the rich)...but only because we (the people) keep allowing it. Yet, it's still an unnecessary institution, which makes it worthless.

Besides...just look at its members. Do any of them look like a beacon of wisdom??

 

Don't religions usually have Gods?

His murders were more communism related rather than inspired by atheism. He didn't actually directly kill most of those people. They died of starvation from his communist economic policies. And his numbers are only impressive because of modern populations and technology. Imagine how many the crusades would have killed if they had nukes?

So instead we are going to follow Romans 13 which tells people to obey their dictators because dictators are appointed by God.

Crimes against humanity are caused by humans, not because of religion or a lack of religion. People kill and do horrible things to each other whether they are religious or not.

If you aren't religious and don't believe in any Gods or supernatural stuff, then you aren't religious. Atheists are just like religious people except remove the supernatural beliefs. They just believe in less things. And the lack of belief or believing a religion is wrong isn't a religion.

I believe that the Supreme Court has been misinterpreting the constitution for decades and I won't uncritically have faith in everything they claim. Most of them just tow the party line anyway. If you have any arguments they are using and you can show they are valid, then you can persuade me.

 

Roman's 13 abstract doesn't say obey dictators , its obeying the government, like Matthew 22:21 give to ceaser what is his and what to God what is his.

 

It says obey your government. Now if you live in a dictatorship, then who is your government?

 

The USA wiped dictatorships off the map since the 1800s .. so who does GOD choose to lead the world?

The bible clearly says that the American revolution was immoral. And I quote:

Romans 13:2
Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

I actually like a lot of things in the bible. It is a very forward thinking book for its time and it has an amazing history. But there is some understandably flawed ideas in it because it was written by flawed people in a flawed time.
