Well, this seems all rather extreme to me.. Whilst Trumps rhetoric towards migrants was always rather derogatory and at times foul... Are The Democrats not over compensating here?

Negotiating which immigrants you do and don't want and if they are or are not a asylum seeker is a real headache... Also giving all 11,000,000 ( probably not the exact figure) illegal immigrants currently in the USA, US citizenship...

Of course. Those draconian policies impeded the importation of future democrat voters.

This is a large group if recruits.

 

Trump was simply following the law, as passed by CONGRESS, which Biden swore he would discontinue enforcement and violate the Federal Government's existing agreements with various heavily impacted states, but, a good Judge order Biden to halt.

While Biden billed the order as just a temporary halt on deportations for 100 days, it's much more. Biden may not have abolished Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE); but he is trying to ensure they have nothing to do.

Biden sent a directive to ICE detention centers instructing them to release all detainees:

This is the most extreme directive ever issued in the history of modern law enforcement. The Biden Administration issued a memorandum on the evening of January 20th, the day of the inauguration, putting into place a 100-day deportation moratorium.

So, what will happen to the vast majority of detainees? Many will have to be released at some point.

The order eliminated the “Remain in Mexico” policy where migrants would stay on the other side of the border while awaiting their hearings.

With Biden's imposed moratorium on deportations and hints that amnesty is coming, a second caravan has formed. The Guatemalan military broke up the first one, estimated to be 8,000 people, sending the caravan back to Honduras.

The new order eliminates the “catch” portion of the process and incentivizes continued illegal migration.
