Except the Constitution and all of the jurisprudence surrounding it.

It should be obvious as to why rational, thinking people object to the government using its list of registered firearms and firearm owners to confiscate guns - especially right before a catastrophic natural disaster where the potential need for personal protection is highest.

We do not wonder why you do not object

Your arguments never go anywhere. Who says the Virgin Islands won't give the ammo back? What is the difference between a psychopath and people who have become hysterical and apprehensive over a natural disaster? Not much. Of course you're going to say rational, thinking people object tot his because you are so committed to your guns as you've demonstrated repeatedly, you probably think you have the right to stockpile them in your basement.

By that, you mean you never have a repose to my arguments that are not founded in fallacious appeals to emotion, ignorance and/or dishonesty. Yes, we know.
    Irrelevant.
They seek to confiscate guns and ammo just before a catastrophic natural disaster, where the potential need for personal protection is highest - that is, the government seeks to make the law abiding defenseless during a period of time when the threat to their safety is greatest and the the government's ability to keep order is least.

And you -fully- support the idea.

You really believe they are keeping careful track of what they are seizing from who and plan to return it?

It's not about being a psychopath, it's about protecting yourself, your family, and your property against the worst segment of society that will often surface after a natural disaster when they know law enforcement resources are stretched thin or incapable of accessing areas.

Dogs are the best forms of self-protection. Guns are just a crutch to have a threatening presence.

LOL I'm not sure if you're serious or not. So when a mob of looters approaches your house, maybe to steal your property or even rape your wife, you think your best form of protection is to sick your dog on them? Why not just karate chop them like Bruce Lee?

So , you're advocating for a end to police departments nationwide, aren't you? "I don't need the police, I'll kill anyone I see on my property."

Stick to what Louisiana said; not what you imagined. Please also explain how calling the cops guarantees that no crime or tragedy takes place, and makes gun ownership for personal defense unnecessary.

Let me know how it works when you're asked to call 911, but opt out of doing so because you have your gun.

    Oh look -- more nonsense.
What rational basis do you have for the idea that people that have guns fro protection don't also dial 911?

    Sounds like a good idea.

Most Haitian criminals are counting on having guns to rape during the aftermath of Irma.

Good idea taking away the guns.

I think you just completely abandoned the topic of a government seizing guns and ammo in time of natural disaster.

What Louisiana said is basically advocating for ending police depts. Everyone should have the right to self-defense, but not to abuse that right like gun fanatics tend to do to stockpile guns and ammo. One firearm per home will do.

Well to entertain your reply. Where I live, we do not have 911 addresses and the nearest law enforcement is 40 minutes away. So while someone is breaking into my home, should I ask them to be patient and wait for the police or would it make more sense for me to be able to defend myself?

No, it isn't. What Louisiana said has nothing to do with police departments. You projected that goofiness on your own.

Why do you fear a homeowner owning more than one gun? And why is it your business?

The government is doing this for safety purposes, i.e. keeping hysterical people from killing each other when resources become absent.

What's so hard to understand about that?

Yes -- rendering law abiding citizens defenseless before, during, and after a catastrophic natural disaster, when the government has no capacity to maintain order - an excellent idea.
Why do you hate the law abiding?
