I am only upset with Trump's bullying tactics, which will cause animosity rather than agreement. U.S tariffs are hurting manufacturing in our country. Do you find that to be funny when they are shutting plants and leaving? Oh, your prices will rise, since the fun has just begun and has not yet begun to have an effect on the little guy.

You are completely wrong. "Bullying"? LOL!

The world outside the US is ran by rule of the jungle. Corruption is rampant. Corruption in China is the norm. It makes any corruption in the US look like child's play.

You do not become successful by "playing nice" in business, especially in the global market. We have played nice for 30 years now and where has it gotten us?

It is time to change tactics and be grown ups.

I have to chuckle at how folks still use old talking points that no longer apply. "Tariffs are bad!" no longer works when reality is taken into consideration.

It seems tariffs are bad only when the US has them. Folks who support free trade should support Trump in his efforts to get China to open their markets to the US. If it takes twisting some arms then so be it.

China has had tariffs on imports for some time now and their economy has grown by leaps and bounds. That proves not all tariffs are bad.

Yes and believing in the fairy tale that we can get what we want by "playing nice" is out dated.

It has gotten us the #1 economy in the world and the moral authority to call out other governments for their corruption.

But now Trump and his band of nitwits have brought us down to play at their corrupt levels. Rather than setting an example for the world to follow, we are employing the most corrupt, nepotistic, self-serving U.S. presidency in modern times to behave like a middle school brat. Trump and his loyalists are a stain on America.

You anti-Trumpers have been predicting disaster since he was elected, yet, GDP growth has doubled, debt growth is only up 6%, employment's up, wages are up, inflation is well-controlled, the only thing down are your mouths!

The Fed's reversed a decade of qualitative easing with qualitative tightening.

They are increasing interest rates: 0.43% over Obama's last 2 years; 1.55% over Trump's first two years. And Fed is committed to steadily increasing interest rates. If you aren't positioned for a rotation out of stocks, why aren't you?

See what a great guy Trump is? He's helping other nation's reduce the surpluses they run against our Great Nation! Weird how the Left is always spouting the viewpoint of the Chinese Communists that invest so heavily in US colleges and Left Wing DC Think Tanks. It's like they have their hand way up in you and move your lips at will.
And yet, he whipped your asses!

The end of "easy money" is definitely having an impact. This however does not address the fact that Protectionism/Trade wars are also bad for the economy.

Then you go into some gibberish on communism followed by demonization of the messenger and building a straw man (I did not vote Blue and can't stand Hillary so save your dumb irrelevant comments for someone to which they apply)

If running a surplus is "bad" for an economy, then Trump's doing these other countries a favor by demanding that they reduce the surpluses they run against our country. Trump's a giver!
It was a binary choice, if you didn't vote for Trump, you were willing to have Crooked Hillary reinstate the Warren Majority as soon as she took office. We supported the establishment picks over and over and over again, but those sonofabitches not only didn't return the favor, they figured they could plant the knife in our backs and watch our nominee lose.

Well, that didn't work out, so go enjoy your new "progressive" friends, because we will never forget the traitorism. You are dead to us.

    No kidding?
Export economies do just fine. US Industry did just grand behind a protective wall, until our leadership sold out to the Chinese and let them walk off with our industrial base. But, hey, that mainly hurt the Deplorables, and in the mind of the Left they are subhuman, so who cares?
Then you planted a knife in our backs and stood back self-satisfied that Hillary would win and with her first judicial pick, restore the Warren Majority on the Supreme Court. If you were a "progressive" I could forgive you, but if you were part of the GOP coalition, your betrayal is unforgivable. We in the BASE NEVER ONCE did this to an establishment candidate. We may not have liked them, we may have wished our guy won, but we went to work once the primaries were over and worked for their victory.

You are dead to us. Go enjoy your new "progressive" friends. You are with them now.

What part of I can't stand Hillary and did not vote Blue -- did you not understand ? I didn't do any of what you are claiming. What a big fat strawman.

    That's right.

China's growth and military assertiveness is all based on their access to US consumer markets which allows them to make oodles of money even while they steal our technology.

29 years ago, Japan was supposed to be the rising power. We shifted our imported manufacturing from Japan to China and China hasn't recovered it's stock market high, IN TWENTY NINE YEARS!

Don't think China hasn't noticed. They either open their markets, or pay our tariffs or we move our business.

December 29, 1989 the Nikkei 225 Index closed at its all-time high of 38,915, the Nikkei today is 48% below its historic high.
