“Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.”
    - Oscar Wilde

Many fashion trends are just plain stupid and often do I find myself wondering why on Earth people wear what they are wearing. With the basis of this, I here start a thread for all of you to share the trends that gross you out and/or annoy the crap out of you.

Below follows some of my picks:

    High waist jeans: Seriously, why?

Half shaved hair: Although not as popular as a few years back, I still see women sporting this ridiculous haircut:

    Dumb hair dye:

    Man purses, fu-ken no!:

Here, literally everyone has one of these Fjällräven-backpacks on their back and it is reaaally annoying:

Good thread! I agree with all of the above, but a back pack is just convenient!

I don't like the fake eyelashes or the hatchet shaped eyebrows that I see everywhere lately. Also, people drawing on their eyebrows or coloring them in. It's so OBVIOUS. Lol!

Come on, we know these aren't really your lashes! Lol!

Sure, a back pack is a back pack and it fills a functions. There is not really anything wrong with that back pack as such, but it just annoys me that I see the same type of back pack everywhere.

Lol that is how every girl picks their eyebrows. Personally I feel that way is much better than having them way too thin or, even worse, having them completely shaved off only to paint them on a again.

I also can't stand this kind of dumb "street style" ugh. Now, to his defense, the dude on the pic looks very young, but I sometimes see grown-arse men walking around like that. Especially annoying and popular is that type of cap...I HATE caps!

    The shoes are just lol.

Female fashion often originates on the streets of Paris in the Red Light District.

Some people can pull that look off and end up looking cool. If I tried to dress like that I'd look like a "Make a Wish" kid on his "special day". derp!

Lmao. Imo anyone who tries that look will look like a "Make-a-Wish-kid-on-his-special-day". :p

Throw away the cap and then put on some normal shoes and put the t-shirt into the pants and that look is not really that bad. Pretty casual and cool. :p

I really cannot understand why anyone would wear a cap for anything else than practical reasons. If you are driving- or at the beach and do not want to get the sun in your eyes, fine. But wearing it to "show off your swag" should be punishable by death. Especially those new kind of caps as the dude in the picture above is wearing and even more so if they are worn "on the side", again like the guy in the picture above. :p

Girlie fashion comes from the streets of Paris.

Has nothing to do with the women I know -- they dress like tomboys.

Well, you mentioned the Red Light District, that's why I ask. :p

I am not too sure if the typical, average girl dresses in the Parisienne/Milanese fashion. That kind of haute côture is for celebs only. The average Swedish girl my age over here generally dresses in black leggings/jeans, white Converse and a white top. Literally 99% of girls aged 18-30 are dressed like that.

I have not been in Western middle Europe since 1993 so I have no idea of fashion there.

Here in the USA the street fashion involves tons of face makeup on the babes and the high fashion of NYC and Las Vegas follows Paris.

Just for pennies a day, you can get these poor kids a belt.

I have been to Greece in 2007 but the ladies there dress up plain and simple. Greece is a poor nation not opulent like France and Germany.

If the shirt covers up the underwear, I'm okay with them.

I would say Swedish gals dress really well, but the only problem is that they all follow the tips of the same fashion-bloggers. :p

I miss heels and dresses and other feminine clothing though lul, Swedesses are bad at wearing that. Of course the cold climate might be an explanation, but even during summer it is rare. I understand that comfort is very important too and that it might be part of the explanation too. :p

Well, usually it is the job of the pants to cover the underwear. :p

Some people didn't get that memo. Damn I hope that trend goes away.... I've been saying "any day, now" for, what, 20 years? This underwear on display trend must die.

Luckily it is rare for anyone above 18 to wear their pants that way here. :)

I used to wear them way too far down when I was like 12, but stopped already at age 15 or so.

Because they like it. Why do they like it, the answer to that question will depend upon whom you ask.

The better question is in the absence of harm why give a ****?

Good God do I hate that prick!

Anyways, yeah. Arturo Vidal-style haircuts are gross and luckily not very popular.
