You'd hate me and my kind, then. I never wear any. At all. Not even mascara.

Where is the law that says women need to be prettified? Being pretty is not rent paid for the place marked 'female'.

This, exactly. The classiest and coolest looking women are always a little (or a lot!) retro.

Most men I know really do prefer zero makeup. But then I do hang out with old hippies and reformed hipsters.

I didn't say I hate women who don't make themselves up. I just mean if a woman takes the time to do it, I appreciate it instead of making some summary judgement that she has too much makeup. I also appreciate natural beauty.

I've never worn a shirt that needed cuff links before.
    So that's a first.
I have them, their with the suit and my tie and shirt that needs cuff links.
I've got a tie clip too.

I'm going to study this now.

To me, "suburban clothing" would be the "hip hop style" as in a Swedish context, "the suburb" equals "the projects", i.e where the criminal immigrants live. :p

The terminologic confusion aside, I find what you categorise as "suburban" to be the very opposite of "trashy" and actually very feminine and stylish. What's so "trashy" about heels? What is wrong with dresses with straps? "Low necklines" is a matter of definition and I will therefore not comment on this, but when it comes to bare legs and suntans, I really cannot see why they would be considered "trashy" unless you are some sort of prudish and religious control-freak...

But, yeah. I know who not to ask if I ever need an arranged marriage lol :D

But women of that period very often wore heels and dresses that showed their bare legs. ;)

Most men prefer a pretty face and the thing with makeup is that it exaggerates the things most men find pretty. :)

At school in the 1960's, old man Pearson the English teacher told our class- "Now boys, as you go through life you'll notice that when you meet people their eyes will go down to your shoes, that's because they're judging your character on how well you've polished them."
Needless to say, we all put our trainers on as soon as we got home and wore them every chance we got, I've worn nothing but trainers ever since..:)

Much of what you listed is an outdated look, at best its pathetic.
Retro is different....its fun, edgy and people wear those styles because they like them.
A 20 somthing can have pink tinted hair, strongly drawn on eyebrows and look smokin, a 40 somthing probably couldnt pull that look off.
Whats great fashion to one individual is horrible looking to another, it also depends on a lot of different factors.
People are generally more relaxed these days about "fashion". Thats the best trend going. =)

sounds really cliche but..."its your life, who cares". lol

    Prove it!

I'd say no one could no matter their age because the look is just wrong. Pastel coloured hair is always awful.

    Except pastel-hair. That's always horrible. :D

No one...unleeeeess you have pink hair then drop dead.

Yeah, well. Whatever. "Lavender" falls under dumb colours too. :p

Indeed people would say she is pretty because she is. Her face is really nice, but her dye is garbage. :)
