Yes. But they were hoping on making it more popular among those who benefited from it: billionaires. The donor class is who they govern for. Because if they were to rely on accomplishments or pushing policies that benefit the country, they would never get elected. So, instead, they must rely on large quantities of very expensive propaganda.

    :roflol:

So when you want the voters to be focused on the election you distract them with having to do their taxes instead?

    WTF?

Does he actually believe that people LIKE doing their taxes?

Does he believe that filing taxes is a pleasant experience?

Or is he just suffering from a massive hangover after celebrating that he is next in line after Ryan leaves?

Still $ 400 Billion LESS that Obama's First term average of
    over $ 1.2 Trillion { 2009,2010,2011,2012 }
    Howz them Potatoes.
Bush's highest Budget deficit was in his last year at $ 459 B
    However in 2007 Bush's Budget Deficit was a respectable $ 161 B

It's the GOP and guys like Paul Ryan who tried their mightiest to
lessen the Tax code and make as simple as possible.
Big Spenders like the Democrats could care less.Just like Democrats
could care less about our Borders and Illegals entering.
Or how dangerous Sanctuary City's are.
Democrats care more about the availability of Food Stamps than
taking care of our Retired Vets.
In fact, most Democrat voters don't pay Income tax.Which when
explained by Mitt Romney in a closed room meeting with supporters
got leaked { The Infamous 47 % comment } and Dems piled on.
Like they did with the Bogus 2012 Summer of Suppression of Voters.
I'd like the name of just one Black who was denied his right to vote.
Democrats are just full of crap, like Comey.
No wonder Comey's wife and Daughters liked Hillary.
    They full of crap,as well.

    Billionaires?

    All tax brackets were cut.

    The standard deduction doubled.

The child tax credit was doubled.

That benefits everyone who pays taxes.

No. You just don't benefit and simply haven't realized it. You will, as we all will, when you start feeling the $1.6 Trillion added to the deficit.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but ... nope!

Starting with the fact that the $1.6 Trillion deficit will have to be paid back. Something much easier to do if you are one who receives the most benefits and will enjoy these benefits permanently.

Pandering tax cuts that run up the deficits and debt has been the standard GOP MO since Reagan.

Running up the debt when the economy is strong is grossly irresponsible. Not only will it burden taxpayers who will already have to deal with the greater spending burden from retiring boomers, but it deprives the government of needed flexibility to deal with the next recession.

But it does make the richest richer. Number one Republican priority.

RW propaganda repeated ad naseum to convince the ignorant to support tax cuts mostly benefiting the richest while running up more deficits and debt.

Tens of millions of Americans pay FICA and excise taxes and didn't receive a dime in tax cuts. Tens of millions more received a pittance.

Remember when conservatives pretended they cared about deficits?

Are you saying that NOT all tax brackets were cut, and the standard wasn't doubled and the child tax credit wasn't doubled?

The Trump tax cuts is allowing me to keep about $3,000 more of my money a year.

I don't give a crap about debts and deficits.

I only care that the government is taking less of my money.

    Spoken like a true RINO.

Well.... an "old school" RINO. Now mainstream in the Republican Party. This is actualy what the GOP has become.

I will bookmark this post to show to anybody who still doesn't get that the GOP is no longer what it once was....

The government is taking more and more of your children's and grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's money.

And you are the one stealing it from them.

Well tax day has come and gone.

The "huge pay increases" that were supposed to materialize in paychecks just isn't there and hey...people can see it for themselves.

What's worse is that they have filed their taxes and most have talked to their tax prep people and know that there's no pot of gold at the end of next year's rainbow. In fact many are finding out that they are getting a tax increase next year (my increase is projected by my tax guy to be about $2K).

So yea...the "tax reform" isn't going to be a winner

And of course that "tax cut" added 1.5 trillion to the debt...and was followed by a spending bill that added another trillion.

    Wonderful strategy there

21 trillion of debt and climbing. Trump and the GOP are ACCELERATING spending and deficits.

Whose pockets do you think that will come out of?

    Your children's and grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's. That's who.

FICA taxes were not cut one time. The biggest cuts went to the richest. As always with Republican tax cuts.

    Why you crying again?

Mr. Obatards first budget created a $1.294 trillion deficit.
FY 2011 - This budget contributed $1.3 trillion to the debt.
FY 2012 - The deficit was $1.087 trillion.
FY 2013 - This was the first Obama budget where the deficit, $679 billion, was less than $1 trillion. Thank sequestration, which forced a 10 percent cut in spending.
FY 2014 - The deficit was $485 billion.
FY 2015 - The deficit fell further, to $438 billion.
FY 2016 - The deficit rose to $585 billion
FY 2017 - The deficit was $666 billion.

Hell Trump is the Frugal El Presidente compered to the last moron ;)
