The Iranian national, who claimed asylum in 2016, was told passages in the Bible were “inconsistent” with his claim to have converted to Christianity after discovering it was a “peaceful” faith. The refusal letter from the department states the book of Revelations – the final book of the Bible – is “filled with imagery of revenge, destruction, death and violence”, and cites six excerpts from it. It then states: “These examples are inconsistent with your claim that you converted to Christianity after discovering it is a ‘peaceful’ religion, as opposed to Islam which contains violence, rage and revenge.” ..... ================================================ You can't make this crap up. This is how the Authoritarians / Leftists attack Christians, ignore the slaughter of them throughout the Middle East and place Islam over Christianity. In today's age, their is no significant organization, nation, or entity that is "Christian" which any real branch is not peaceful. This is an alarming ruling.
It looks like this Iranian national's mistake was criticizing Islam as a religion of "violence, rage and revenge" and some Lefty or Muslim at the Home Office copped a 'tude.
I'm going to have some optimism and consider that the 'Home Office' suspected that this 'convert' was actually a stealth jihadi engaging in taqiyya. But of course... it could be some hateful progressive or muslim denying a legit convert the asylum that he legitimately needs.
... and the Leftists will rejoice as one less "violent Christian" is wiped from the Middle East and the Earth.
